side/finger/thumb weights are almost a thing of the past today....its all about surface and mass bias location....man how the game changes...drilling balls was SO much simpler back then...

God, I remember many years ago the first ball I saw drilled with a weight/flare hole - my first question was "is that legal" - oh yes it was:) The rest is history - LOL
