but some pipers(mostly women) do not look comfortable when playing their pipes but congrats Margaret Dunn for being comfortable with your pipes!!!!!!!!
Folks, I have had to remove some offensive posts, put up for reasons I don't understand. I put these videos up for people to enjoy, not make weirdo comments. Apologeticsman, where do get off calling me a "dope head"? You know nowt about me. I hope the rest of you enjoy the tunes.
people tell me I'm full of bologna when I say women have a more difficult time blowing the pipes because of having smaller lungs.. this lady seems to be proving my point, look how often she has to breathe to keep the bag full
I didn't question her talent, I merely pointed out that women have smaller lungs, thus have to work harder to play pipes than men. The strength of their arms on average probably makes piping difficult for them as well
Top! well done, I like this really. complete top!

WONDERFUL! and thank youf or not "pacing" (marching). That pacing business is rather overdone.
NCPiper 2 years ago
No-one marches during strathspeys and reels.
ScotPipingSocLondon 2 years ago 12
Yes, you march during marches, not strathspeys and reels, (or jigs or hornpipes).
I guess that's why they are called marches.

C'mon, audience! You can applaud better than THAT for what she did. That was hardcore SKILL displayed and musically entertaining as well.
ChrisZ70 2 years ago 3
What amazese is how loose her fingers are. You can't see hardly any veins, loose means open embellishments.

Great Tunes!
Anyone knows the tunes?
Pottpiper 3 years ago 81
The first one is Highland Whisky. A classic pipe tune that has lately been overlooked in recent times (til now) I think

The best sounded pipes I ever heared.
Who is the maker and what kind of reeds are in?
dudziarz 3 years ago 25
She plays Henderson pipes and I believe Canning reeds (these might have been taken before the introduction of Canning reeds).
Nice sound indeed, but the chanter needs to be about 4 to 6 hertz lower (I'm sorry, I'm just not a fan of the modern high pitch).
