You people don't understand what this film is about, it's not supposed to be a horror movie filled with cheap jump scares, mind blowing special effects and gory scenes. It's a physiological thriller that uses suspense rather than the cheap jump scares you find in most films. All the "boring" moments are supposed to serve as the build up for the ACTUAL scares. I'm assuming all the haters are fans of films like Saw and Hostel which are completely different genres compared to this.
@fecolino1 I disagree with you. I found REC2 somewhat lame, the story was just absurd, just another zombie movie sequel that disappoints. Paranormal Activity isn't perfect, but achieves the goal. Not many fright scenes, but it is an all-around scary movie. Just my opinion, of course.

i watched one where she got taken downstairs (like in the one in the cinemas), screamed and Micah followed...then she stabbed him, came up the stairs, rocked for a day on the floor talking about stuff then police came and killed her.

I have to say, i went to see this movie tonight and it was kind of disappointing. Everyone has been raving about it and they made the trailer look incredible, but I would have liked to have seen maybe 30 mins more - it ended so quickly and there wasn't much of a build up for her to 'become possessed' etc. It started out brilliantly and was a bit of a let down at the end :(

No gore at all... It is sooo scary because of the suspense of looking through the camera at the couple while they sleep and waiting for something to happen. And every night u know is gonna be worse so by the end of it u almost want to look away from the screen cause it gets sooo freaky. TOTALLY AGREE ben358, easily the scariest film of the year, the suspense builds up to an unbearable level that totally satisfied me...left me shook for a few hours to be honest haha!
All those people who say it's shit are usually those who consider "torture porn" like saw & hostel as scary or just have a short attention span & no patience or appreciation for suspense what so ever (most of my friends included lol)

I have to say, i went to see this movie tonight and it was kind of disappointing. Everyone has been raving about it and they made the trailer look incredible, but I would have liked to have seen maybe 30 mins more - it ended so quickly and there wasn't much of a build up for her to 'become possessed' etc. It started out brilliantly and was a bit of a let down at the end :(

No gore at all... It is sooo scary because of the suspense of looking through the camera at the couple while they sleep and waiting for something to happen. And every night u know is gonna be worse so by the end of it u almost want to look away from the screen cause it gets sooo freaky. Honestly I am not scared of ghost movies at all, and Blair witch didnt scare me but this really shook me up. I can't get it out of my head and I cant sleep!! aHHHHH (Watch it lol)
