Everyone talks about big numbers but if you hypothetically detune the R8 to 300hp vs the sti's stock 300, let see who wins. Weight is weight at the end of the day, if you watch japanese Super GT you see "super exotic" like the mclaren f1 adhering to horsepower regulations, they end up losing to a SC430/soarer. A good car isnt about horsepower... it's about good chassis design. And in a race it's down to driver ability.

r8 is a nice luxury car, but in the end it's an overweight pussy lambo.
