  • VERY cool!!

  • top fuckin advert, should have made a long vers, and followed it up. It's fuckin class.

  • Such a brilliant advert.

  • "Jimmy you forgot your sandwiches" Nice shiner on that guy's left eye... brilliant level of detail, wonderful sense of humor... must say though as much as i love the suits and the hair cuts, when the Rockers flash by on their thundering motorbikes, like the dark horsemen of the apocalypse... well let's just say there's nothing like good old british iron. Make mine a BSA Gold Star.

  • Thanks Neil118 for posting this I moved to Aust in 81 as a Mod and although a small scene over here and young in its roots it was still a passionate one. So missed out on seeing this. KTF

  • This ad is from 1999...and to tie in with the ad, Lucozade sponsored the reader's photo pages of Scootering Magazine for a good few issues.

  • that's a pretty good advert i do say so

  • Think you'll find late 90's this ad was from!

  • of course you know only the Vespas made it all the way ;) LOL

  • Yeah mods rule!

  • The fella with the big hooter who shouts 'Jimmy, you forgot your sandwiches' is Guy Joseph, a very well known chap on the SE London Mod scene. A great DJ and top fella.

A very authentic ad, back in 1981/82 that was all about SE London on the day of a scooter rally. Brilliant days! sigh.

  • There weren't any Mods in SE London mate, scooters were no good for towing caravans!

  • Although your input is amusing, we've had comments from inteligent people here, so I hardly think we need the 'learning difficulties' angle on it! Ta anyway.

  • Don't take yourself too seriously fella.

    I made a joke.

I own two Lambrettas and am a West Ham fan, I have everyright to make a quip.

Now, I'll let you get back to your important discussion on a soft drink advert.

  • I thought I was having a laugh too! Maybe I'm not as funny as you. While we're on the subject though, do you remember Panda Pops? They were great too eh?

  • I remember those "Orange Flavoured" drinks sold by the woman with a tray round her neck in the cinema during the interval.

They used to give me asthma and had a straw with a point like a hypodermic syringe.

  • i know this comments old, but it had me p**sing anyways!... asthma dinks and hypodermic straws! massive!

  • I was about to say that. Didnt he leave the country several years ago with his family?

  • Yeah ..nice fella , and Smiler too!

  • 00:35 i want those glasses...what are they called?

  • they're called hideous.

  • They're called "Teashades", and they're tricky to get hold of nowadays...

P.S - Shut up adamballz, they're fucking awesome...

  • True, rare to find now. But you can get them at this website Century Novelty. That's where I got mine. They're also available at this website Hippie Shop. They're very cheap too.

  • The ad is from the late 90's...around 1997.

  • Ah, for the days when lucozade came in glass bottles. Something much more civilised about it I think...

  • Yeah with the twisted orange cellophane wrapping...ah those were the days

  • What is the name and artist that sing that song in the backround ??

    Regards x

  • Loui Loui by the Kingsman

  • louie louie by the kingsmen

  • KEEP THE FAITH!

  • yer when this advert was out lambrettas and gs,s where cheaper than a old px :)

  • I've played this commercial over and over again. There is something about it! As a Yorkshire scooter riding mod in the early eighties, I can completely relate to this commercial and the atmosphere it creates. I'm now 43, but this commercial takes me back 25 yrs.

  • hey me too check my video I did on the same period .... keep the faith long live the mODS

  • jimmy i made u some sandwiches! lol wot me ma used to say to me. brings me bak

  • Oh this is that old now, crazy. I miss Lucozade, since moving to Canada I can't find it anywhere....sucks.

  • u like england or canada better?

  • I'd have to say Canada, friendly people, every thing's cheap...if fact it's just better in general. Although I miss some things about home because I grew up with them :)

  • Not bad ad, though I'm sure this was from around '96, The real teller is the plastic bottle introduced well later, the manufacturers retconning.

  • the one with the fake black eye is my dad ikts guy joseph don loads of other ad's and billboards

  • great!

  • it is agreat film but the mod thing was way more styleish 2 be fair im a rude boy bcos there in between skins and mods!

  • lambretta lx 125 limited edition luvvin mine tuned to the maxxxx

  • I was one of the rockers - got paid £120 for two days and you can't even see me in it. Me and my mates stayed right at the back and arsed around while all the wannabes fought to get their faces seen - hwa hwaa! The mod guys were a nice bunch actually, especially the one with the pretend black eye.

  • hahaha that's cool

  • haha wow thats great

  • Hello I restore Vespa's and Lambrettas. Ihave a 1963 Vespa GS 160 Series 2 available soon if you are interested

  • as being a mod myself i love it and wish them old vespa gs and vespa rallys went cheap
