If you've never been there then shut the hell up. If it blows it Blows At least people can enjoy it while it's here. I have been there many times and I'm still here. If you live on the east coast you will die from some hurricane or some violent crime. If Yellowstone blows you'll be dead too. if you live on the west coast the same thing.
I've been here a couple of times and watched old faithful erupt around 20 times and there is in no way these people are in danger they're about 300 ft. from a geyser that's peak height is around 175ft.It's beautiful and dangerous for an idiot that would walk 125ft. closer off of the boardwalk from which this is filmed and is illegal I might ad but the boardwalk is totally safe and wouldn't have been built in a government operated park intended for public view uless it was safe.
This is the extract similar to air tanks that need to be released every so often as dampness settles in.
This outlet goes to the housing underground structures for the Vulcans. If you could walk up to this you would see a sort of ceramic pipe this is coming out of. If it was just rock or dirt, it would long ago have eroded into a gaping hole, nothing as perfect as it is now.

Yellowstone is a huge 40mile super-volcano. Since the magma bed underneath is cooling down and crystallizing therefore releasing its volatiles, there shouldn't be any fears about a gigantic and cataclysmic eruption but then again this planet of ours is a like a psychotic yet loving wife thats truly unpredictable and inexorable when it wants to be. On another note I saved 15% on my car insurance by switching to Geico.
@earthbyerin oh yeah it just STOPPED. it just actually packed up it's briefcase and took a plane to jupitor. It decided to vacation there for a few months, then come back.
Little do they know that the water is blasting out due to heat trapped under the earth that will one day explode in an extremely violent inland volcano, destroying everything for hundreds of miles. If you live near Yellowstone, move.
Well, he is correct. It has happened before and it WILL happene again. However, that being said, it could happen tomorrow, or 5,000 years from now. But, it will heppen again.
@goldtop73 - Volcanologists have stated this in tons of reports. There's a huge lava dome about 3-4 football fields big underneath it. Now what do you say to that?
@KAYROSE91 I'm not really bothered mate. I just wanted to have a look at the geyser. If it's going to explode then it's going to explode. I think the oil slick is more worrying don't you?
@goldtop73 - hummm... You state that "I can.. I predict that Old Faithful will spew water out again... between 35 and 120 minutes after each other burst. " But I can't see how you can, is all my point is.
Yeah the oil slick is worrisome, then again that isn't the topic at the moment tho....not like we can help it over a forum lol
@kevnar - Volcanologists have stated this in tons of reports. There's a huge lava dome about 3-4 football fields big underneath it. People are ignorant lol
@kevnar thanks at least someone agrees with me my parents say its bullshit but if this happens the ash will catch in the rain it will rain down liquid concrete
@kevnar Yes. It may explode someday. But I can tell you with certainty that the planet Earth will spiral into our aging supernova star some day - andt exactly how much should anyone worry about that? You warn of geologic dangers, but you have no concept of geologic 'time'. To understand risk, you have to understand the danger of an eruption multiplied by the probability of it happening the day you're at Yellowstone. You don't. Let me simplify it for you: buckling your seatbelt is more important.
@kevnar Or maybe they know it and just want to live a little before it happens? It's not just supposed to take out a couple hundred miles. You might try moving out of the united states. Or clear to the east coast. They say our biggest threat from this volcano is the ash which will block us from the sun.
@cjstorm16 And not just confined to North America. The westerly winds could easily blow the enormous amount of ash all the way to Western Europe. And Where would that leave the world without the two super power continents? And on another note, those who live near yellowstone would probably be able to evacuate on time becasue the geologists are basically tracking everything that the magma chamber is doing.
omg if i sat on that would i go flying in the air? cause thats what i've always wanted to do but my friends say ill die before i even know wat happened!
i hope you dont get 2 close or you will feel like u just got out of a oven lol
