  • This is glorious.

  • So, what's wrong with me if I don't feel anything when listening to this album?

  • It's so it's name. All the way. I mean this will give you beautiful nightmares. Makes you feel like the most frightening thing ever is also the most beautiful and it's creeping up behind you right now. Kinda like the devil. or a solemn angel.

  • jewish rapper check me out

  • boring

  • Sadly, the rest of this album pales in comparison to this song. Then again, this song is incredible.

  • @justinmikov First part, totally not true at all, the album is more about the experience than any individual song. This song is a hard hitting introduction to Dan's anguish and depression when he wrote this album but the rest of the album is like the meat, not a full sandwich without it, if you wanna talk individual tracks I think No One Is Ever Going To Want Me and Buried Above Ground are both better. Second part... Ok I can agree with that, this song IS incredible.

  • @rokknroll4 Yeah... well that's just like, your opinion, man. But really, I can't help but feel that you are talking out of your arse just a little bit sir. You could say much the same thing about all concept albums. One one hand... Yes I agree, this album is one big thematic sandwich that was intended to be munched on as such. Now, that being said, This song is like bacon in a BLT baby, and when that pounding begins and that choral singing picks up back there among the reverb... Catharsis.

  • @justinmikov Music IS subjective, BUT this album does have a concept, you can't ignore that when listening. If you aren't into the music then whatever man its not your thing, but to say that this song really outshines all of the others is kind of a stretch (obviously your opinion and I'm not gonna tell you what you should think) but it leads me to believe that you haven't listened to the album much either, because a lot of the songs have what you mentioned too and are less chaotic than this song

  • If you ordered the album from the record label, you'd understand more about the album. It came with a 150 page book that not only contained the lyrics, but also the story of a man named Robert Voor and the effect he had on Dan Barrett. To some, this is just fucked up and absurd music, but it's actually quite intelligent and beautiful. If you understand the reasons for its sound, you'd see it as something special, which it really is.

  • This is a project run by a musician named Dan Barrett who's from Connecticut. The guy you thinking of is completely different. Hope that helps.

  • @Heartattackandvine1

Thanks a lot. It does help a lot, and things are starting to make sense now.

  • To my earlier post:

I must be totally confused. The Giles Corey we saw is now with a band called Lubriphonic, and I can't imagine him being involved in this project, but who knows? Somebody help me out here.

  • What the hell just happened? We saw Giles sitting in at the Kingston Mines in Chicago about 15 years ago. He played a screaming guitar and rocked out wailing some great blues. Saw him again a few years later in Nashville playing with a bunch of mediocre guys in a band that wasn't worth remembering. Very disappointing as Giles' role was quite limited. Extremely talented guy but, wtf is this all about? Yikes!!!!!

I guess I'm going to have to dust off the bong and listen again.

  • @rockinblu100 if "a bunch of mediocre guys in a band that wasn't worth remembering." is Have A Nice Life, their album "Deathconciousness" is considered one of the best of the decade and a perfect album by many.

  • @theMadbombR

Sorry, but where did you possibly get I was referring to Have a Nice Life as the band I saw in Chicago 15 years ago and later in Nashville????? Fifteen years ago this Giles Corey was 16 years old, and probably couldn't even get into the Kingston Mines as he wasn't even with the band, just sitting in for a few songs. This Giles Corey is actually a guy named Dan Barrett as Heartattackanvine1 has so correctly informed me. The guy I was referring to real name is Giles Corey.

  • Does this music try to deliberately stay underground?

  • That was so fucking disturbing. I love this. This is real inspired music.

  • Genuinely unsettling, especially when you consider the circumstances under which this was recorded.

  • Dan Barrett is on fire!

  • Comment removed

  • Anybody, where can I buy this? Not on Itunes or Amazon.

  • @TehSkullKrusher Enemies List Home Recordings. Type that into google and you should be able to buy it there with the book that comes along with it.

  • this song does a great job at bringing that feeling of being so insecure that while listening to it when you look away from your computer for that brief moment you get an overwhelming feeling that someone is in your house.

  • did you know that this guy was in the movie "the crucibal" i think giles corey gets his name from the salem witch trials.

  • @artboy76 You are correct. Although it was originally a play before it was a movie, which was written by Arthur Miller. The dude is a badass.

  • He sounds a little like the vocalist from Yellow Ostrich.

  • holy fuck yes

  • Well that was a fucking terrifying eight minutes.

  • @technolust14 that made me laugh

  • A bit too weird for me I think.

  • Wheres the dubstep!!!>!>!>!:NFDNKJDflkjn

  • idk, this just sounds amateurish and like they're trying too hard to be weird.. the outro honestly made me cringe a bit.

  • good stuff

  • This is great

  • I'm fucking entranced by this album. I've listened 6 times in the past 3 days.

  • i felt like a deprresed sack of shit so i came here

  • This is a truley horrifying yet beautiful display of sound and emotions

  • this is incredddibbbllleee

  • Not nearly as frightening as Anthony made it sound.

  • this is like scary.. i love it. thanks you anthony :D

  • nice album art work

  • Esto es excelente!!!! Thanks to Mr Fantano!! Gracias!!

  • Fantano

  • Really wish he would've refrained from cranking the reverb at some points.

  • @UmbRa52 Well said. It's funny though, Dan Barrett/Giles Corey is himself a (mostly) bald guy with glasses.

  • Those last few minutes are scary as hell...
