To bad its only 30FPS, it record at 60fps but the camera makes it 30fps, it records each frame twice hence the good quality and little noise.

I had own FZ-28, FZ35 and now GH1, if you got the money going for GH1 if you are fz 35 user, it share many similar setting that your familiar but gave much better picture and video and able to change lens.

I actually do have a HV40, but it's just personal preferences. and I don't think panasonic deserves such belittling as "a camera like this" =/ canon is losing its market share while panasonic is zooming up, i think that tells a lot. I have a lot of canons and other cameras too and I don't think just because it is a "major" brand means it's superior to others in every aspect

What do you think of the sound quality of the FZ35 vs. Canon digicams?

@thingsdemystified picking up the sound or the sound that is recorded? (I'm anothercl2425 btw). Well... it's hard to say. I usually use cameras to film at a very near distance, so it's hard to say. I think panasonic picks up a bit more noise than canon does, so when the files come out you will hear more noise on the panasonic files (like small footstep sounds, things dropping, people closing their doors outside of your house etc)

I had a G9, and I think the G line is very solid, and the 5D is hands down an awesome camera :D If DSLRs weren't so heavy, I would have def. gone for 5D or the 7D :p Canon seems to not put HD video in all of their cameras. I wonder why they always have one goody missing :( but, my point was you have great cameras! XD
