If I were you I'd pickup a propane camp stove. I cooked all my meals on mine for about 2 weeks on one propane cylinder (of course it wouldn't last you nearly that long since you're cooking for several people). I used it indoors with no problem at all. I'd hesitate to cook something for a long time without cracking a window but for short things it's great.
Without using it to cook, your battery power systems will last a lot longer.
Wow! What an awesome family! I wish I could trade in my crazy, alcoholic, ego centric, shattered family for yours. I'd be a lot less cold, cynical, and deliberately isolated if I had grown up in an environment like that.
Well! I appreciate that. I've seen a lot of videos discussing this or that, but not too awfully many actually going through and showing the drills themselves. There is still so much to learn, and much more prep to get going on. Time is running out, imho, and I'm thinking after we're more prepared we should do this again! Thanks so much for watching and your gracious comments. :)
Nice video. I liked what you said. Survival is a mind set. I have heard information plus experience equals knowledge. Without experience one really doesn't have the knowledge. Great job.
great series ...thank you for sharing your experiences....and for sharing your ideas, and skills.....the family unit must work together as a team and i am impressed with your childrens participation.
You know, I think we have succeeded in showing these kids by what is seen on tv, heard on the radio, read on the internet- current situations in the world, in our own state of Michigan, and all around. The reality is too close to home to not be perceived, even by the kids. Adults really don't have any excuse to not see what is going on, and an even bigger tragedy is when parents know and *don't* teach the kids. Get them involved, folks! Thanks for your support, Momzilla57. :)

Thank you for doing this! By far the best video on prepping I have seen.

well done, awesome job
BIBLE reading by candle light, that is the way it used to be done, and, i'm sorry to say, may one day become the norm again.
thanks for sharing

awesome, well done. good idea to get the girls involved in the process.
my prayer partner went for 4 years disconnected from the grid. it's an adjustment, but it is very possible to do.
and as always BIBLE reading before bed, best presleep activity...
