So... how did a hamster mutate into a human (specifically a sumo wrestler)? And why did he revert back once electrocuted?

Furthermore, why are Bebop and Rocksteady talking about coming from a zoo? They're humans who were mutated into animals. There's no indication that mutants take on the mind of the creatures that directed their mutation, just their form.

Wow I remember watching this prime time special as a kid on sat night. Such great memories! I used to have Tattoo as a toy and couldnt wait to see him in the cartoon.

I like how Rocksteady and Bebop refer to the zoo as the place they came from, thus replacing their origin story as punks, which I personally never liked. You gotta love their streaks of ingenuity, not to mention their results.

I think it's scandalous that so much of the Ninja Turtles has been released on DVD, and this vital piece of the story has been left out. How unprofessional of Lionsgate and Fred Wolf Films.

I don't believe this primetime special hour episode was ever released on VHS or DVD which ticks me off. Seasons 1-7 have been released so far. Season 7 includes and begins with their European Vacation special side season episodes. Seasons 8 through 10 (which are the "red sky episodes" have yet to be released) . Some of the red sky episodes with Dregg as the main villian were as a bonus on the Season 1 collection. Why has this special episode not been included and will it ever be released?

it better be along with "once upon a time machine" from season 5. I mean come on they should at least have all the episodes. I hope they post them on the last season of tmnt

@pokanoka06 Yes, we can only hope. I've already asked them to please include the episodes soon, and they seem to listen to their customers, so... fingers crossed. In the meantime, thank goodness for this footage. Without it, I would never have found out why there were so many characters and events mentioned in the series that I'd never seen.

Good question, and thanks for answering mine, because I have been frustrated out of my wits trying to piece together why the Turtles keep referring to the Turtleoids, and then to Groundchuck and Dirtbag, who never appeared in the series before then. The question is, why did they release those horrid Vacation in Europe episodes, and not Planet of the Turtleoids? It sure could have filled in a lot of missing gaps!

so do I. I just bought my copy off of Amazon.com a week ago. They are very rare to come by. I also have "Once Upon A Time Machine" as well, which was another episode missing from the Season 5 DVD set.
