Japanese people do litter unfortunately. The rice cooker looked in surprisingly good condition.

It's kinda amazing how the Japanese are becoming so Western like in the junking-up of their own cities. When I first traveled to Japan in the early 70's when my wife and I went for walks I don't remember so much junk on the sides of the roads... so sad.
