well, yes and no because my last drifter weighed in at like 2100lbs & put out 208 after the cold air & a good tune which makes about 10hp/lb. I ran a chevelle that topped 3600 and ran 400hp which is only 12 or 13hp/lb and with the 1.5 foot loner wheelbase they come out about even.

I'm an American and for some reason a part of me just can't accept the muscle cars drifting. I personally feel that the GTO, Viper, and Mustang need to stick to the strip and leave the drifting to the actual imports.

I agree with you, but for some reason it's the deep rumble that is both awe inspiring but oddly out of place in a sport that originated with the high whine in the mountains of Japan. I do think that it's a good thing that domestics are slowly creeping into the sport because like everything else we're putting an American twist on it once it hits our soil, but just as long as they don't "invade" so to speak.

i disagree as well... if youve ever been to a formula d event... seeing these high hp domestics go sideways with a cloud of smoke behind it, is far more exciting then watching them on a strip. Also Domestic OEM's see a potential in the Drifting market because it is new and captures a much more diverse demographic than NASCAR...
