His comments may upset some but are they inaccurate? If Ike said we will be in germany and and japan for 100 years, would he have been wrong? I understand the offensive idea of being in Iraq for 100 years or how stupid it sounds, but Israel has been constantly defending itself since 1948 either preemptively or counterattacks. And, the nuclear proliferation that has not stopped since 1945 will make the mideast more instable rather less. Nuclear proliferation drives the world closer to war...

American Military forces are in many countries for peace keeping, or other helpful reasons. In Many cases, they want the presence. It is not the distorted way many protray it to be.
We have helped keep many nations free.
It is not the time to keep distorting our military. We are lucky to have a nation where we can come and go. Try that in Cuba, North Korea, China, Russia, or any other dictatorship!!

This guy just doesn't get it and hasn't learned from Iraq. "Old Europe" had a great deal more experience invading countries than we had and they told us invading Iraq was a bad idea. You cannot win the war on terror with force. Learn, adapt, evolve. It is so plainly clear that we need a different approach than the half witted: "spread our version of democracy" tact. This is different world than John McCain grew up in.

Heard of Renzi (senator R from Arizona, he is on McCain's commitee) scandal. What's up with these Republicans. He had his own insurance business, and taking premiums money. Why they so greedy? Now they say (media you know, try to make him look better) he has 12 children so what it does not give him right to steal and commit the other crimes. The Iraqi Parliment announced yesterday they're no closer to agreement on major issues (including oil sharing) than they were 3 years ago.
7 USA soldiers died in last 2 days.
Many more soldiers lost body parts in Iraq last month.
The so-called cease-fire between Shiites & Sunni is ending & they're not agreeing on extensions.

Democrats throughout the presidents have started or gone to wars, just look back at the wars we have been involved in: Vietnam, Korean, etc. Only 1 instance was there a Republican ( who isn't even favored by real republicans ) that started a war which was the first Bush ( Gulf War )
