  • 1:57 - 2:25 reminds me so hard of the "There Will Be Blood" Soundtrack

  • It could be in a horror game like Dead Space.

  • @Cyberspine the horror is only in your head

(and your stupid games) This is music

    .

    to o.p.e.n the mind

    .

    ((notcloseit))

  • @IIEII How ironic that in the same comment you manage to bash an entire field of entertainment and say nothing great can come out of it yet still promote open mindedness.

  • A lot of thanks !

  • Scelsi is one of the more important composers !

  • This is really interesting. I didn't know this composer (and im almost embarrasing abuout it) but it's amazing what he has done. This sounds like from another planet, millions of year in the past (or the future?). I believe he had a very unique conception of music

  • Huh. Is it weird that this composition makes me feel like I might be the Toothfairy Killer from The Red Dragon?

  • I wouldnt get all worked up over someone saying something sucks with the words mine and craft in there username.

    -nuffsaid

  • Some opinion is based on a body of knowledge and expertise; other on just 'gut' feeling. The latter I compare to that cliche, "I don't know much about art but I know what I like." Fine. It does not make the person who states that an art critic ~ but that seems to be the prevalent attitude in our current ethos ~ any personal opinion = that of an informed and discerning expert. This wholly abandons ALL discernment. (Yanni = Rameau). It is pernicious, dangerous + should cease.

  • If you think this is the worst music you have ever heard, then it is. That's fine, and there's nothing wrong with that. The only music, really, that is inexcusible to like is Kenny G and Michael Bolton. Otherwise, ti depends on mood and taste. I mean, jeez, if you're in the mood for this it's graet, but if you looking for your keys or trying to change your baby's diapers, well, not so good, eh?

  • @timfitts "The only music, really, that is inexcusible to like is Kenny G and Michael Bolton" :')

  • To those who feel this "hurts" or is the "worst music" they've ever heard: as an exercise, compose a piece in a similar vein, and put it up here so we can hear it. That way, if it's equally as bad, you will have proven your point, and the rest of us will have discovered a new composer we really like.

  • This is honestly the worst music I have ever heard. Thats merely my opinion though, I guess...

  • @masterofminecraft1 Yes, it is an opinion. It is rather Avant. It is good that you at least gave it a try. Most people would never even to do that.

  • @Actar411 Speaking of Avant, I love the Audi RS6 Avant. Wonderful vehicle.

  • @masterofminecraft1 you're musically inept

  • @jaynogg If you call 14 years of an instrument inept. I just play classical, and this almost hurts my ears.

  • @masterofminecraft1 being a musician is not only about technical craft, its about open mindedness to all possible dimensions of sound activity. Take my word for it, I'm a composer, and although I may favor Stockhausen to most other things, I take it upon myself to have an open door policy to ALL music. If this was 120dB I'd understand how it would hurt your ears. Seriously, listen to it a few more times, without thinking about it, and just experience it. Btw, sorry for calling you inept

  • @masterofminecraft1 I'm pretty sure Scelsi would take that as a great compliment.

  • I could swear there are brass instruments. this has got to be more than strings.the rythms and timings are great. popular culture doesnt men much. U go to a university music festival or any where there are serious musicians they have heard of this guy and know enough theory and idea s to be able to appreciate him.The standards are different every where u go!

  • what divine music

    אלוהים...

  • Scelsi was a visionary who did away with serialism successfully. Composers endorsing spectral music owe him big time.

  • Scelsi is rapidly becoming my favorite "Serious Music" composer.

  • O Tom Zé andou falando bem do Jacinto Scelsi na Caros Amigos...

  • ELOHIM = CREATOR, MAKER, POTTER, WORKER OF ALL THINGS, UPHOLDER, YAH THE FATHER OF ALL CREATURES, THE COSMOS AND ALL SUBSTANCE OF MATTER, BOTH ORGANIC AND SPIRITUAL

  • I luv Dark and Evil Classical music!!

    Thanx 4 sharing...

  • @umbsix well in fact this is not meant to be dark, neither evil music ;)

  • The name of God... such an appropriate title.

  • i'm sure he's one of the best european composers XX century :)

    just listen...

  • best italian composer in XX century

  • @dallexandro Scelsi is fantastic, surely he's one of the best... I don't think he's single best because Luigi Nono is remarkable too.

  • @Matteo7419 yeah we don't, because we're stupid.

    right sto cazzo.

  • @zaproheeks

    ignorante, bravo matteo 7419

  • I've always been attracted to Scelsi's work. This is beautiful.

  • this is indeed great music...unique !

  • Non mi stupisce sia un compositore dimenticato.

  • forgotten composer?

You are not so well informed: last year in Berlin a full festival was dedicated to his music...he is extensively performed all over europe...I guess he is quite healthy to be a forgotten composer...-:))

  • @muttushiama He was forgotten for quite a while, it's only fairly recently that his music has been rediscovered. But thank God it did :)

  • @muttushiama yeah but he is "forgotten" in populat culture. mind you, i thumb up'd you, because people shoudl know this. but dont act like he gets the recognition he deserves =/

  • @muttushiama In America he is almost completely obscure, except to the professors at the more important music schools. It's too bad, because he blows most of the other things that are played out of the water.

  • i love this stuff its so deep ,and at times bring visions of terror and wonder

  • ¡inquietante!

  • Truly a great piece.

  • Thanks a load... incredible piece of music.

  • veto.

  • What a great piece! Thanks for up-loading this and the added info.

  • His music, even today, still sounds unique.

  • good sound, good structure and good the breath of this music

  • @fpagliato honestly, nothing beats xenakis!

  • @xxxslayerxxx666

Well, there is no way we can compare such composers. Personally, I don't know why people try to... there's not only one musical language in the XX and XXI centuries, therefore each composer neede(ed) to create their own. There is just no point in discussing something like personal language.

  • @fpagliato i'm not comparing, that is just my opinion on xenakis.... i'm mostly drawn towards his music out of other bands, just cause i like one out of the many others doesn't mean i'm saying they are bad, i still listen to Messiaen, Stockhausen, Varese, and Boulez!

  • Thank you so much for this.

  • thank you!

  • thanks!!!!!!!
