Eric's band for this album was made up of Tulsa musicians. George Terry guitar , Walt Richman keyboards, Carl Radle bass, Jamie Oldaker drums, and Marci Levy back up vocals. I talked to the drummer Jamie Oldaker about this album and was told that they barely remember making the album, they were so messed up on heroin. He actually laughed in my face when I told him this was my favorite Clapton album. :-(
@MOSKII58 Wish I was at this concert to to be 100% sure...but I think Clapton has his Strat somewhat distorted and it is in contrast to George Terry who generally used a Tele and the cleaner distinctve Fender sound. EC does most of the soloing on here and his tone is evident at 3:28 and contrasts with Terry's at 3:41. EC does an extended solo from 4:52 to 5:17 and Terry comes in around 5:30. After a few listens, the two tones become distinguishable. EC gives Terry a nod 6:07
@1973teledeluxe exactly & thats what i always thought and yes thats a good way to distinguish the two tones clean tele/George & Eric prob his Blackie Strat w/ more overdrive tone..thanx for the help..
