Unbelievable mastery....a standard setter...someone who truly shows what humans have the potential to achieve! Just think of the world we would live in if everyone practiced this level of mastery in their respective craft...even a gas-station or attendant or McDonalds employee can do mastery in their craft...and if everyone did, can you imagine?!
I believe music is the universal language and that Israel may be a metaphor for a land of milk and honey...but at the same time that doesn't matter. This man's voice trancends politics, language and creed. Musical dialogue is necessary for Peace!
Why not instead of wars have competitions in all sorts of categories, like the olympics for music, by the worlds most formost judges free of political mindedness. It would be cool to just have a forum like this. Nusic should just be absorbed, as is. N
MrTarawa1943 I went to my sources to check: effectively: the state of Israel was created in may 14th 1948. Before that it was under British government and called Palestine. Before that it was a group of districts and sections (Vilayets & Sanjaks) governed by the Ottoman Turkish empire, and they encompassed what we today call Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan. The only "Israel" before that was that of the prophets, more than two thousand years ago, in Bible times, ¿So then?
@TheTokit So then, since 2,000 years ago, Jewish people living all over Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and America have been praying for a return to Israel, and Jerusalem, 3 times daily, and in songs, including compositions by Rosenblatt. To this day, Jews study the Old Testament in the original Hebrew about the Jewish people in the Land of Israel 3,000 years ago.
GreatestCantors: very good posting. However, in your information says that he died in 1933 in Israel. It wasn't Israel then, it was Palestine. Israel was founded in 1948. There are movie captions of Rosenblatt from days before he died. I think he fulfilled a dream to die in Holy Land. Thanks.
that cry in his voice...

What pipes!!! They don't make many like him very often!
Please chill out on the politics of his death. Let's keep our eyes on the ball...or in this case, on an incredible talent
