  • Wow, hard to believe this was a test vid! The clips vary greatly, but a lot hearken to the song, with the wandering and the lanterns. Nice job!

  • I would guess that it speaks of the Celtic calendar, the coming of spring, praise to the Lord and Lady...

Not completely sure of all of it...but I submit my understanding, and ask others to correct me and expound on my perceptions.

  • The festival of Beltane I believe...which we are just passing through right now.

  • Beltane is a close guess. She is not specifically referring to this festival (which was spiritual significant to Celts because it was the beginning of their crop cycles). Instead, she is instead telling the story of a couple (presumably farmers) who follow the Celtic tradition of tying ribbons on a tree to thank Sucellos (or some variant of this god) for the first budding of their crops.

  • In the climate of the British Isles, I would imagine that the crops bud around late April or early May, or are they earlier?

Here in Oregon our springs come just a touch earlier than they do in NW Europe.

  • You are right on the money there. crops in NW Europe do begin to bud in the time frame. However, by "beginning of the crop cycles" I was referring to the harvest and subsequent planting of the crops a few months later. Beltane celebrates the abundance of food that follows harvests.

  • The major harvest season is from August through October, beginning with Lughnasadh and ending with Samhain. After that comes six months of winter.

  • This is awesome You did really well.10/10

  • do anyone know what this song is telling you and what it means and what it stands for i do but just want to know if anyone els knows . blessed be .

  • I love Loreena McKennit and also the Lord of the Rings so seeing this is a fantastic treat...lovely clips have been used from the films and an excellent choice of song..well done and thanks for posting a great peice of work.

  • SpecTACULAR.

Just... Brilliant. Just, the way you matched up the clips with the music... It was beautiful. Five stars.

  • In the blue veil of the night.....

  • I guess I was never one to really drool all over Legolas. He is handsome, though. Gimli, the dwarf, is not what you would call handsome, but he isn't ugly, he's just 'dwarfy' looking, I thought he was really funny.

This was a lovely clip, thanks for uploading.

  • This is beautiful!

  • THIS IS AN AWESOME VID. OK, I never really liked the movie Lord of the rings, because it STILL scares me, but Legolas is SO Cute!!!

  • Legolas-nothing special.Gimli-a babe!

  • haha, Sorry, but I have no idea who 'gimli' Is. I still think Legolas is cute though.

  • Ok, You guys call me a dork or what ever but, Gimli (played by John Rhyes Davis) is the son of Gloin(Who ventured with Bilbo on the Hobbit) Gimli was of a royal line but never came close to sitting on the throne. I could go on and on, But I prolly gave you to much information already.

  • *blink, blink* OK, I couldn't make head or tail of that. But if I did, I would say thank you. I guess I'll have to read the Lord of the Rings...

  • i guess that's the dwarf

  • Yes, Gimli is the Dawrf. I guess I failed to mention that little detail in my previous statment.

  • beautiful!

  • Amazing ... excelent work !!!

  • WONDERFUL JOB, I LOVE IT,,,

  • perfect song, as if it was made fot lotr

  • Oh my gosh! It is the real Middle Earth in my blinding eyes. This is really beautiful!! It makes you feel like you are really in Middle Earth. If only it exists...-_-
