Errrrrm yeahhhhh. "legitimate proof" of an intelligent being? Nope, sorry. The main argument for a deity is that it cannot be disproved, but only just like Santa, you can't prove it exists either. Anything in nature can be explained through science, and if not right away it is eventually because that is how it works. Yes scientific journals are written by man, but the beauty of science is you can test out what they say for real to see if it works.
We have proof that we are created in the image of God because of our extraordinary to create. We write stories, and so does God. What do you think history is?
Also, people won't be nice to each other just because it's "good". Mankind is evil in nature. Christians should not do good because they're afraid to go to hell. Nothing we do can free us from our due punishment. We do good because we are thankful for what has been done for us.
@Agalynet Actually we have proof that we are created in the image of the eternal Night Mother because if you read the sacred Codex of Her Eternal Night, specifically chapter Nyxian 4:5, you will see that we are a product of the Night Mother and Fratux, made from the earth that She gave us.

There are many different beliefs on the shape of the earth and still only one is true. The most likely reason you believe in a deity is due to your parents raising you to believe in certain things...just like Santa. Stephen Hawking just wrote a book detailing how the big bang happened.

3) The difference between Santa Claus and god is that people recognize Santa doesn't exist
4) Scientific journals have factual, empirical data in them, the bible doesn't.
