Aryan decendents (R1A1) are living in East Iran primarily (most probably people with Tadjik and Pushtun roots). However, even in East Iran their estimated percentage is relatively small. In many cases conquestors were giving a new land their tribe name. One example is Bulgaria that got its name from a turkish tribe Bulgar that came from Volga region and took over the country.

@xxpoonednoobxx Old Bulgars were Turks living in Volga region. Those who stayed formed Chuvash and Tatar ethnic groups. Some Bulgars went to Kavkaz mountains. They are known as Balkars. All 3 nations are turkish-speaking if I'm not mistaken. Regarding Scythians, please read about Haplogroup R1A (Skythian). You will find that only 18% of Bulgarians belong to one while in Poland, Ukraine, and Russia about a half of men belong to R1A. I belive that most of Bulgarians who R1A are of Slavic origin.

@MrTeejaysingh There is no difference between scythian and aryan. Scythians are Aryans, it's just that Scythians are a more specific branch of Aryans, while Aryans regroup all the nations ( scythians, alans, sarmatians ect.)

lions existed in iran up untill maybe 1800s before they gone extinct, i think persian lions were the bread, im not entirely sure about the term, persian kings used to mind them in their palaces and houses, there even photo's of them, and cheetahs still exist in iran, i think about 100 or so of them
