I recently broke up with a girl and she said she still wanted to be friends , so we are and we txt but I can't get over her I really want her back and she told me that we wouldn't have a chance again..... When we broke up she said it'll be better for us in the future....and she wasn't happy because she wasn't treating me right and couldn't make time to see me .....I think they are dumb reasons but like do I move on or keep trying ?

Not bad advice at all.. BUT every situation is different. I am in a tough situation, and I felt as if I had to act quick due to someone else possibly in the picture, I did wait 4 days... No call.. I then decided to call, she is semi talking to me now, And I wrote up a list of reasons why were together, and things that would emotionally touch her about our relationship, and I am just going to tell her these things on the list, and let her make the choice.

How long ago did you split up? If its only been a few days, DON'T PANIC. Delete her ph no from your mobile phone (but write it down on a piece of paper and put sumwhere safe) so then you can't text her. She will still think about you, don't worry. Write a letter to her saying you are OK with the break up. This will make her see you as a STRONG man that doesn't cry. Try to appear in her life 2 wks later. Then after about a week, she will contact you. Hang in there, just do it and focus on work.

Thanks for this info. I want to try the no-contact strategy, but the thing is that we have a daughter together so my ex and I in a sense have to communicate with each other. I guess the least amount of communication would be a good idea. Any suggestions?
