Hey I really wanna Rottweiler , but I haven't ever had a dog before, I'm aware that you have to be dominant from the start and I'm ready to be so...a rottie as a first dog??
Great looking Rotties!!, I also had my last Rottie put down because of ostesarcoma, (bone cancer), he was 7 1/2 years old. My new Rottie just turned 1 year old last month.
@phabbiola I know, it's a horrible practice. Dogs should never have their tails docked (unless naturally for medical reasons). All our dogs are rescue dogs who had sadly had their tails docked as puppies from whoever bred them. I wish they still had them as seeing a rottie with a full wagging tail is a beautiful sight.
@Tutovillage Not sure of lines as they are all rescue dogs but we think there is some german blood there, particualry with Dino (the one with white round his eyes).
@ShigekiHizashi Thank you, we get so sad and angry when we read negative things about this wonderful breed. Dino was a very special boy who we still miss. We sadly lost Tyler (the other male) in September to cancer. We have a boxer and 6 rotties (all rescues).
God bless you for rescuing my favorite breed, the Rotts. I like to rescue seniors, the ones no one usually wants. I rescued two 8 yr old Mastiffs and they were with me an additional five years. Very rewarding. Six months ago I went to rescue a senior Rott; when I got there the woman changed her mind and offered me the senior's pup! So I now have a six month old Rott! Just what I didn't need! LOL
@rottchick My pup, Pearl is 8 months old and weighs 105 lbs! She's huge and sooooo sweet! She's a whimp, is terrified of my two mini Doxie's! lol she loves all 2 and 4 legged critters! So much for me wanting a watchdog! ! ! lol
@babygrand3 Thanks! They are spoilt rotten! We're not breeders, they are all rescues from different backgrounds. Will post some more in the next week or so.
@babygrand3 Thanks! They are spoilt rotten! We're not breeders, they are all rescues from different backgrounds, some we only fostered and couldn't part with !
@scisab22 LOL. We know they are softies but seeing them running towards you is quite daunting, usually becasue you end up on your bum having licks galore!
Cute video! Our youngest rott has a white patch on her chest she was born with..we dont care shes still our little (80lbs.) girl ;)!We had 3 rotts we lost 1 to bone cancer in
feb'08, And our now oldest has been thru alot she went thru chemo about 3 years ago and thank god is still in remission. And I have a husky thrown in the mix he's just a crazy little nut!
@Rottylady1 One of our girls has a white flash on her chest too! We don't care either, they ae all wonderful to us. I'm sorry to about your loss. Watching the video is hard as we've lost both the males on the video.
It's a condition called "vitiligo" and in dogs causes the fur to be pure white. It cause them no problems. We rescued him aged 5 so don't know if he was been born with it or not. The condition causes no problems other than the white fur.
wtf is wrong with his face
