I thought the world of Packers fans for years - until I saw how ungracious they were to the guy who brought a championship back to GB. What Favre did wrong was he wanted to keep playing. OK, so the Pack decides to go with the new guy for the sake of the future - that's fine too, it's their decision and their right. But don't then HATE the old guy who wants to keep playing and signs with another team. I now think GB fans who detest Favre are as bad as Dallas or Oakland fans.

I am fed up with non-Packer fans telling us we should be "gracious" to guy with his "if he goes, I go" threats when Sherman was fired, or the "Trade Me" when Moss wasn't landed the first time, ON TOP of all the debates about whether he was coming back at all. When Moss wasn't landed the second time, Favre "retired". But he didn't really retire.

@sloiselle1 But Favre did REALLY retire, he was starting his gambit to get out from under his "lifetime" contract. He was angry that Ted Thompson had the gall to assemble a team HIS way instead of Favre's, so Favre pretended to retire. Favre said the last straw was when TT drafted two QB's and "closed the door on me". Does THAT sound like he retired? Then he was in direct contact with the Vikings which was where he wanted to play.
