Escutar Bach através dessa alma musical, Albert Schweitzer, é receber, inesperadamente, a bondade pelo mundo. Abraços Albert, uma presença festiva em nossas vidas; o que passa e permanece. Alexandre Vivacqua
risposta a drnespor e gilles2777. Scusate ma non so l'inglese. L'organo dovrebbe essere quello della Chiesa parrocchiale di Gunsbach del quale da qualche parte dovrei avere anche la disposizione fonica.
My beloved Opa (grandfather) who died last year had a hat and notebooks of Albert's. We share his surname and are descendants, although I'm not sure the details of our family tree. Thank you for sharing this.
Jana: I had the pleasure and honor to meet the man in person in Lambarene in 1956. His bronze statue is next to my computer. A most extarordinary man.

Both are from the Orgelbüchlein
Beide sind aus dem Orgelbüchlein
1. Gelobet seist du Jesu Christ - BWV 604
2. Herzlich tut mich verlangen - BWV 727
3=1. Gelobet seist du Jesu Christ - BWV 604

He was a amazing organist - but the most interesting thing I assoziate with the name Albert Schweitzer is the humanitary work he did in Lambarene!!!

These are two different chorales. One is from the orgelbuchlein and the other is bwv 727 I think, then the first is played again.

The best source of information are his books. I do not know, if they are online.

You are right; the reverence for life is important in spiritual matters, too.
Unfortunately I have not this Choralprelude.

Reverence for life,
up to date-more than ever in a time of insane "religion-butchers" .
Do you have the Choralprelude "O Mensch bewein dein Sünde groß" played by Schweitzer?
