I love this Phil Everly song by any Everly anytime, sung with anyone. It is a terrific song, and these two certainly do it justice. Thanks for posting.
Great! In 1957, they were "too" rock n roll, and by 1964, the music they helped formulate was "not enough" rock for the deejays. Go figure the music business!
sorry, but it makes a difference to me! It's more than just tunes, it's the whole "image" of the artist. My perception is that they are two brothers from the heartland of America producing beautiful music. If that is not the case, I have to look for other "heros."
But, having said that, I will ease your troubled mind! This wonderful, gentle, caring man is NOT gay!!! I repeat what AGibsonJ said... he is married 3rd time around. Has two sons by his 1st two wives. He just has one of those higher voices when he speaks, but without that voice you wouldn't get that sound when he sings! Image & "Heros" how sad that people are judged that way. If you asked Phil, he would say he is no ones "hero".. he is just a man that sings!
I adore and respect this man so much... always have, always will! You "idolize" him/them, but it seems only on your terms! How sad! Our throw away society is terrible. Turn your back on a friend, discard a "hero", stop being a fan because someone may not be exactly what you want them to be (regardless of the fact that they are a good person). That's a sad commentary on all of us as humans. How lucky for you... I guess... that Phil is straight! I'm also straight, but it wouldn't matter to me!
@norskygirl I agree with all you say, but not sure it is a sad commentary on all of us as humans. Only a few can choose to turn a back on a friend and discard a hero etc. i would like to believe that most of us are better than that. I am guessing because of your comments that you are, and hopefully a good percentage of us are.
I'm from Missouri, and everyone says they love my southern accent. Others have said I sound like I'm from the Ozarks. I am. Doesn't matter to me, but if I had a voice like Phil's I would tape myself and listen to me all day long.
Sounds more like the Ronstadt than the Everly version. Who do I complain to?
Seriously, it's great to hear them together.

Does it really matter if he is gay or not. If you like the music, just enjoy it, simple as that.

@pds3939
So you won't listen to his music because of the sound of his voice? Isn't that exactly why you listen to his music to begin with?

Is he gay? He sure doesn't sound like your average Kentuckian! I sure hope not... I idolized them.

No, Phil is straight, born in Chicago, raised in Iowa and Tennessee [parents are from Kentucky]. He does have a slight accent, is married [two kids].
