Boris, this is good stuff, however Twitter is mega slow to update so not sure how timely these tweets will be. I do agree on the crosses as they are slower to react and often lag the news spike. Like your analysis on CAD/JPY post NFP. Friday was mega profitable after NFP 2 sure. Enjoy Dubai mate.
The problem with using the crosses rather than the majors is the higher spreads. I´m dumb enough to use the worst broker out there (Saxo) and would have to pay 7 points on GBPCHF (5 on the CADJPY). Also the crosses tend to mess up total currency exposure when traded in the same account as swing and position trades. Interesting idea tho' using one market to trade another - on news, I watch the S&P futures, then fade any EURUSD movement that goes the other way - works pretty good !
check out DayTraderRadio the host trades the s&p 500 mini live every day starting at the NY open, it corelates with the Aud/Usd in the minute time frame with about a 5 second lag.... the show itself is really great, follow it for a few days and you will see
@12aug96 I would suggest a separate account in that case. Agree on the spreads that why using a broker with tight spreads is crucial, but I give myself 30-50 points of stops so not an issue for me
