Being skeptical isnt an accolade. Its a mental handicap. I have gone thru the course 15 times and experienced HUGE INCREDIBLE THINGS by doing it way beyond what GARY had shown to him by the two masters. Nothing scary about it. I have had this happen. Gary needs to understand there are other motives for speaking of the ACIM than to prove how much you know that observation of his about another was from his ego mind. He cannot if he knows the ACIM decide what another persons motives are. WHAt he speaks of is simple and the course says it simply. I had an Alien being step out in front of me in a detroit steel mill I didnt scream or run I talked to him.

This guy is just another charlatan, or con man with a gimmick to part people from their cash. I have wondered in earnest all my life about these things and no one has appeared to me. @theoracle42 you clearly have never read the book or are familiar with the subject matter. You say you have wondered about these things, but you sound skeptical, as if you have a closed mind. With a closed mind one can never see new things. You have judged, just as I have. I forgive this. The fact is the people who either showed or didn't show up isn't the point, the dialogue that takes place about forgiveness and how to apply lessons from A Course in Miracles is what is important.

You're damn right I'm skeptical, you're just another sheep if you're not. And as for your forgiveness, you're neither qualified nor been requested to give it. I have an open mind, that's why I listened in the first place. the difference between you and I is that I am neither gullible or desperate, I retain my objectivity at all times.

Borrow it from someone or read it at the library if you dont want to hand over cash. I say don't knock it before you try it. If you do read it and still think its BS well then it was worth the shot for the persuit of truth right? I am a pretty skeptical person myself, but I felt there was a lot of things I could take away from the book.The rest you leave behind.Peace.

At this moment i'm reading Gary's book and it's really amazing.. this probably is the most important book i read until now.sooner or later i have to read and practise "A Course In Miracles".

After reading his book. I have a question. If an essence of God had "separation" as an "idea" then does that mean that GOD has an essence of Doubt in itself ? even if it was only an idea , and it only lasted a nano second. There must have been some doubt behind it to even ask the question in the first place!

i think it may be that the "tiny mad idea" of separation that is mentioned was more like an experiment. In that scenario, doubt or something similar is not necessary as a catalyst. Then it was instantly seen to be silly. (i could be wrong)

This is probably the most asked question regarding the metaphysics of ACIM. "How could a part of God have a tiny, mad idea?" The answer is, "It never happened." This isn't a satisfying answer, and that is actually acknowledged in the Course. I cannot make the answer more satisfying, so I won't try, but as a student of the Course, I can tell you that I have come to be satisfied with it. Explaining why would be impossible, as it is beyond what words can express. It's a good question though.

FOR YEARS I have been struggling with ACIM. Just since Feb. 2009 I stumbled upon Disappearance. I have never been more excited about a book. I take it every where I go. whether I am going to read it or not. Now I am down to the last 20 pages, and I have stopped reading.... I don't want it to end!!!
