Overall the Sony HDR-CX500v is the best HD cam you can buy. point. blank. period. Use the "Smooth Slow Record" feature in the menu and make sure your camera is set to record HD first. Some people forget that this camera also records SD video for smaller file sizes.
OMG...im buying this camera in 2 days!!! I cnt wait to make a movie with it. I go to Syracuse NewHouse and i finally found a cam I can use to keep up with the professional cams we have here

ive got this camera, but when i put it on slo-mo, it gets very gritty. How is yours so clear?
