bricking has many terms, usually it means an interuption whilst trying to install firmware, rendering it unusable (broken) but there are ways of unbricking anything, so he wouldnt have had to buy 6 drives. guys, whats the point of arguing about this lol?

There's still a risk even after having a Stealth copy. But, a Stealth copy is a 1:1 copy of the original. The security sector file as well as the other files needed for the stealthing are the original files from the original game that usually when ripping doesn't rip with the rest of the files. That's why it's not a 1:1 copy right after ripping. There's a small chance right now on 1.5 that they can detect it, but the main reason people get banned is from playing early.

If they're legit games then you won't be banned. You will only be banned if playing a backup that isn't a 1:1 stealthed copy.

Bricking is when there is no alternative but to replace the drive or externally wipe the flash chip on the drives pcb board.

Just interested to know if your problems related to Ix 1.5 or not.
