i think, with restringinga floyd rose... its a pain, with the spring tension...
but what if you put it in hardtail mode, restring it easily, then return to full floating? wouldn't that make restringing alot faster without spring ajustment?
ok i have an original floyd rose on a 6 string schecter currently set up in drop c. Have you tried tunning past a tone in either direction in either deep c or hard tail mode, then going back to floating mode? Or does it wreck the action?
I highly recommend the Tremol-no. Have one in my CE22 and my 50th Anniversary Strat. I couldn't be more pleased. No more blocking my trems. Just tighten the screws and viola. Beats the hell out of the Hipshot Tremsetter, where the installation has to perfect or it doesn't work right or having a pro install it. I had this thing in in twenty five minutes, tuned up and rocking. If you have a trem, you owe to yourself to check it out.
at 1:15 the tremolo sounds extremely noisy. that bellow-like noise is probably coming from the misaligned tremol-no, so you better align your clamp and claw screws properly.
or I may be completely wrong :D sorry if that's the case
why would you want a tremolno? I think this is a totally useless product, if you dont want a tremolo then why did you buy a guitar with tremolo in the first place? get a les paul!
@satjathamma Probably if you want both but as few guitars as possible at home. It'll be a very versatile guitar. It could be added on a LP shaped guitar as well. So the question for me is. Should I have two guitars or one with this thing installed.
I notice you've got only 3 springs in the back. Did you have 4 originally? I have the same guitar but mine has 4 springs. It looks like one would need to be removed for the tremol-no to fit. Cheers.
@jakeost1991 - you have to take one out in a PRS because of the way the Tremol-no is made. You can't ruin the guitar, as installing a tremol-no is totally reversible. Just be very careful when you take the spring out of the block as they are in there VERY tight. I'd get everything perfectly straight with the tremol-no claw in first before sliding the locking piece on and getting that to work.
i have a question. If i have a tremol-no. i switch it to hard tail mode, de tune by lets say a whole step down, then switch back to floating bridge mode, will this be fine
@Paulcowie64 Certainly not. If you want full floating mode in standard D tuning you'll need to configure your guitar for it by adjusting the spring tension. What he didn't mention is "dive only mode." You could go to dive only mode and detune temporarily but you won't be able to pull up on the bar. Put simply, full floating mode is for standard tuning ONLY. Or whatever your guitar is configured for.
Awesome guitar.. great playing and an amp that I'm looking into buying! It reads on the website that it comes with a balanced line out.. did you try using this to record instead of mic'ing ? How good is it ? I'm a total noob at mic'ing so I'd be more into an amp that records properly into a line out! Thanks!
actually i tried it for the first time the other day, only briefly so i can't really tell how good it is (i'm a bit of a recording guitars noob myself) - it's just a balanced line out on the back of the amp with a level and ground switch. I'll have another play with it and see if I can do a proper test.
if you want an amp that record into a line out get the peavey vypyr 120 all of them have a built in usb in the front of the preamp. its a modeling amp so it doesnt have its own distortion but it has diezel amps the triple recto and the twin reverb, there is alot more but those are the only ones i use
not only does the Tremol-no look like a great idea for my N4 Washburn but..your tone is excellent...plenty of gain with your Screamer 50. Are you using a boost pedal at all in this demo?

If I put a Tremol no in my ibanez RG would I be able to:
A) Get it into drop A (5 semitones down from drop D across whole guitar)
B) When in locked position be able to change the tuning up by 2 semitones (I would change it to Drop B in a gig)

@satjathamma Did you at all watch the video? All the reasons are listed!
Personally, I bought it to be able to tune down to drop D without having the rest of the strings go crazy.

@SaerdnaOoOoo I used to think like that before, but I found out that I need both a strat and a les paul,
you just cant be without those two, they are mandatory.
I think the PRS is a good substitute for a les paul if you don't want one,
not because the brands or anything but for the woods and tones you get out of them.
