  • Clarke Gable is a ham.

  • Comment removed

  • This was back when men were...well,men! Love you Mr.Gable.

  • David De angelo brought me here

  • "Sir you are no gentlemen" .... "And you miss are no lady" .... spanked!!

    This nigga got game

  • Lovely

  • The first time I saw Clrak Gable I was 15, Wow how hard it is to know a handsome gentelman at that age... Im 19 now and I must say I have no luck to finding someone like him... What a shame.

  • @KatKillahKills Oh hang in there girly ,you'll find your Rhett Butler. I found mine. They are all in there 40's and prefre a woman with a fire belly (as my man likes to call it ). I call it moxie or high sprits.

  • @KatKillahKills Unfortunately, guys like him don't exist anymore... :(

  • i love how his face doesnt move when she slaps him

  • lol this is remarkable im soo watching the movie

  • What Scarlett ever saw in Ashley Wilkes is beyond me when there was Rhett Butler.

  • Clark Gable ughhh that's all I have to say.

  • omg i lovelovelove clark gable.

  • Rhett always knew just what to say to Scarlett to keep her in line whenever she got too big for her britches. Priceless!

  • she is. women arent pretty like that anymore. most just tan till they look like oranges and get fake boobs.

  • @FlowerdewAbbey I know but most women will never be as pretty as Vivien Leigh no matter what they do.

  • I love the sound of offense scarlett o'hara makes at 0:58 when Rhett insults her.

  • guy looks like george clooney

  • I love when Scarlet slaps people.

  • @Uvia456 5 times in the fuckin movie!!!

  • @Uvia456 ASHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

  • funny,,,,,,,,, but treating girls like dicks isnt tasteful enough to do

  • so she was bratty and he was cocky and full of himself.. don't get why this movie is such a popular romance film.

  • @xdatgrlx you haven't seen the whole thing have you? Try looking up the scene with the line "you should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how." They know just how to handle each other.

  • Rhett and Scarlett are perfect for each other. Rhett needed someone like Scarlett because of her fire and spirit. Scarlett needed him because he was the only one able to handle her. It's like everyone said if she had married Ashley she would have been BORED.

  • @classicchica39 True,if she married him she would have been bored. However, the main reason she never appreciates Rhett or the other men around her is because they chase her and give into her whims.Ashley politely and cleverly tries to evade her while holding on to her when he needs her, like for looking after Melanie during the war and staying at Tara after the war when they have no where to go.He was getting ready to move to New York until Melanie convinced him to stay and help Scarlet's business

  • Scarlett was such a brat! She needed a man like Rhett to keep her in her place.

  • they both are perfect acters. I think what I just wanted to do ones in my live is wearing a dress like she wear in the film. Oh I love this dresses!!

  • Scarlett in her barbecue dress - or any pouffy hoop skirt as wide, is so rebelicious! She's spoiled, pampered, beautiful, and a southern belle brat with a very cotton rich daddy. What more could a southern gentleman want? I bet she smelled really good too...

  • Be fair I've seen bigger wussies than Ashley.

  • @Bassyswing1 Ashley is definitely more alpha than Rhett. Rhett is like an insecure douche who tries to come off as a not-so-insecure douche, but it really only makes him look like an even bigger insecure douche. Ashley knew that Scarlett is too bratty and self-centered for his tastes.

  • I never understood how Scarlett could possibly like Ashley...when she had Rhett to compare him to...

  • @maelstrom143 Ashley was unattainable. Women want what they can't have.

  • one of the greatest mistake f scarlet o hara!!

  • "And you were going to hate him for the rest of your life!"

Love how he keeps in perspective how ridiculous Scarlet's empty protests are.

  • i never understood the casting for ashley...

  • The little scene after she threw the vase and he whistled and asked "Has the war started?" I think epitomizes Rhett's character. Haha. Just a cool, nonchalant man who takes things as they come and a great tease too.

  • Ashley was so gay... Rhett was a REAL man!!!

  • The first guy is more alpha than the majority of men today but he was still a push over for letting her get away with slapping him.

  • @Bassyswing1 What's he supposed to do? Hit her back?

  • @Bassyswing1 Men of that time didn't lay their hands on women. Hell, men couldn't even call women liars.

If he'd hit her, there would have been a huge, huge fallout. It just wasn't done.

  • @meginmd Are you kidding me? Research your history. It was a time of the deepest hypocrisy possible. Hitting a woman wasn't done in public but behind closed doors it was not only accepted but encouraged as a way to keep the woman in her place.

  • The real alpha was the first guy. He kept cool and didn't give in to that bitch. With a single glance he freezed her and didn't need to say anything. Just let her know he isn't another wussie. That's the real alpha.

The second guy was just a moron and a voyeur.

  • @zurdinator

Nope. The second guy was the alpha because he kept his cool. He kept his shit together. Whenever she said something, he had a comeback that was smooth, teasing and projected that she was nothing but amusing, almost like she was some little girl. In fact, there whole interaction is just him toying with her.

In the end, he's the one who's always one step ahead, he's the one who never loses his composure and he's the one who DOESN'T get slapped.

  • @zurdinator @zurdinator

Nope. The second guy was the alpha because he actually kept his cool and didn't feel the need to explain himself. Whenever she said something, he had a comeback that was smooth, teasing and projected that she was nothing but amusing, almost like she was some little girl. He just shrugs off all the emotional drama she's loading off on him. The whole interaction is just him toying with her.

And, obviously he DOESN'T end up getting slapped ;)

  • I thought he was gonna slap her back...

  • Why does everyone think Rhett and Scarlett are a great couple? They're not. Rhett's a rapist and Scarlett is an immature girl with many problems.

  • @needles1987 Exactly, that's why they're a great couple.

  • @needles1987

Rapist is exactly right. It's fine to like the movie, but to put this character on a pedestal as some kind of testament to what manliness should be is simply BS and frankly I'm a bit worried about/for anyone who does.

  • @TFYFWYA yeah actually i really hate rhett's character. Hes driven by the desire to please himself and doesn't care about what anybody thinks. It makes me cringe to think of being with a man like that. I much prefer Ashley because he is a gentleman- something that rhett could never be and would never want to be.

  • @carnationcorsages Yeah Rhett was selfish but I think he changed over time and grew to care about people or maybe he always did but didn't show it. Like when he decided to go to war and when he fell for Scarlett, then his daughter Bonnie came along and he absolutely doted on her, and he bought a gift for Mammy. In the sequel, he isn't selfish at all.

  • @YourOasis97 I agree 100% that he loved Bonnie, butpart of his love for Bonnie was to impress the townsfolk.

The movie leaves out Scarlett's other children, Wade and Ella. He didn't want Bonnie to be shunned so he used her as a wedge into society.

  • @needles1987 How in the hell is he a rapist?

  • "your passion for living?!" ...i love that line

  • Could you imagine Rhett popping up and saying Boo! during that intense scene?

  • There's so much wisdom on Scarlett and Rhett´s dialogues =)

  • I hate Ashley ...he's a wishy washy ! I <3 Clark Butler

  • "Por ser ao mesmo tempo, antigo e tão atual, o filme nos mostra que existem momentos e existem pessoas que o vento nunca levará!!!”

Ashley, uma pessoa marcada pelo medo e sua covardia!!!

  • I get the feeling that Scarlett didn't clean up the mess after she tossed and broke the vase.

  • So now an 'alpha male' is someone that acts like they know a little more and says what he thiinks instead of lying in a prissy gay way? Rhett was the least alpha male in the whole book. He was the only one that thought that Scarlett wasn't crazy for making her own money. If he's an alpha male that 'abuses' women then I'd be abused any day.

  • @mynameisreallyrandom Yeah I don't really see how Rhett is an alpha male either. He chases Scarlett around for too damn long despite the rejection and disrespect she shows him over and over again. He acts sarcastic and amused, but deep down he is actually in need of a woman's love.Ashley Wilkes is stronger in this regard. He knows from the beginning he doesn't want to deal with a bratty, self-centered girl and finds all sorts of polite and clever ways to evade her and that is why Scarlet chases him.

  • @DontForgetIran2010 Finally someone who knows how it really is.

  • I love Scarlett's little sad face at 0:26. She's so adorable!

  • "has the war started" lol i luv that

  • thanks for the video & happy 2011 !

  • Aah, the days when men treated women like crap and the women put up with it.

    Oh wait, they still do.

    Wake up women!

  • @TFYFWYA lol I guess you haven't seen the whole movie.

  • @cbass5511

    lol I guess you're stupid.

  • This is my favorite movie of all time

  • @lobitaa504 me too. have u read the book? i thought that was even better

  • they are both douchebags

  • He just owns her sooo bad hahaha....

  • I always wondered why she didn't fall for Rhett sooner. They're soulmates

  • Clark. Gable. :)

  • Love Me Some Clark Gable my Idea of how a Man Should Be!!!!!! LOL I know i am Dreaming !

  • You and me both, my friend! He's just sooo good!!

  • i love clark gables smile and laugh.

  • They tried to make a remake... rather an add on called Scarlett. They tried, but failed. I mean it was good, but there will never be another Clark Gable and there will never be another Vivian Leigh.

XD "He doesn't strik me as half good enough for a girl with your... what was it? Your Passion for living?"

  • I tried acting like Clark Gable at a club and it actually worked

  • @raigekimaru It would work on me, that's for sure!

  • @raigekimaru Did you find your Lombard?

  • @raigekimaru why would you want to act like someone else ? and not just be yourself looll your funny

  • @01thrilla

It wasn't so much that I wasn't myself myself, I just incorporated some of Clark Gable's mindset into it. also, I'm gay so attracted women isn't exactly natural for me, even if it's still fun =P

PS: it doesn't work on guys unfortunately =(

  • @raigekimaru

    no need to apologize ^v^

  • @raigekimaru oh mybad dude loolll

  • @raigekimaru I dressed like Clark Gable in this movie at a club.....it didnt work *shrug*

  • @raigekimaru Thats because women like douchebags.

  • @HoneyRyder

yeah I wish it was that easy to attract guys. men have so much more complicated tastes. women if you just exhibit superior qualities, they will like you. guys it's not that easy

  • @raigekimaru lol

  • @classicalman114 The entire movie is bullshit. The is the opposite of romance.

  • @TFYFWYA thats because its NOT a romance movie.

  • @VASINGER

FAIL! Not the point. But thanks for playing. Buh Bye.

  • Ah Clark knows, women are trouble. And he is too...hehe

  • Clark was a great actor. Had that air of wit about him.

  • he was cocky and funny

  • vivien was tthe most beautiful woman of all time

  • vivien leigh has to be one of the most beautiful woman who ever lived

  • Excellent, one of the best parts of the movie!

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out my new clip of 1930's cigarette cards of Clark Gable, Katherine Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich, Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn,Jean Harlow, and Carole Lombard.

  • I love it!

  • one of my favorite GwtW scenes. =)
