  • Where is the link at 4:26?

  • you're new and innovative, thanks for doing what a lot of people don't want to say!!!

  • 30,000 characters? I don't think so, the average Chinese person knows about 6,000 or 7,000 characters. Your Korean is horrible by the way! :-/

  • god this dude is completely wrong.......... even seoul everything is written in korean..

  • the average chinese person knows approx. 6000 characters. who's learning 30,000 characters?? no need.

the average korean adult knows about 3000.

this man i'm guessing knows little to none. can't speak korean well at all.

가나다라마바사아자차카타파하 are nowhere near native pronunciation

  • Thank you.The video is quite informative and helpful.

  • "I don't believe in learning how to read and write Korean" ??? wtf? Are you serious guy?

  • @rfwelsh fuck you

  • 우리 나라 언어는 다른 언어보다 더 좋아요. 역사를 통하여 세종 대왕은 드문 똑똑한 사람이에요. 우리 나라의 역사를 위해 애국심을 함께 기르십시오.

  • you're not saying 라 correctly mister

  • It was really tough in Japan. I am glad to hear that it's easier in Korea, I can't wait to visit :)

  • Man so true!! Definitely for romantic reasons!!

  • @sparrow1451 oh okay i see what u mean, thx ;)

  • @sparrow1451 u sure thats right? those arent letters u have 1 letter and a vowel so theres two letters so thats not the alphabet. u can correct me if im wrong

  • Brilliant, yeah...

I love it also becoze isn't complicate at all... XD

  • It's funny, I lived in Koreatown Los Angeles (Largest Korean population outside of Korea) for a few years and even grocery shopping was difficult because there was so little English in the market.

I guess in Korea they rely on tourism more so they make an effort to communicate, more than Koreatown needs to.

    Great video! Thanks!

  • Brilliant =D

  • I don't know much about the Korean language (I'm a linguistics novice), but I found this very interesting!

  • itd ben better if you also mention "Sae Jong the Great"

  • it's usually broken down like : ga na da ra, ma ba sah, ah ja cha kha, tha pha ha

  • The greatest artists have always been able to take something complicated and make it simple.

  • NONSENSE! it only takes half an hour to learn these simple letters but you're making it even more complicated!

  • I think 7 or 8 years won't care about reading...they would rather play. What 8 year old wants to read a letter from grandfather.

  • @TheWorld4all despite the social surroundings, there are always book worms, jocks, etc. there musta been book worms back then.

  • My method of studying Korea is pretty fast.

  • I can't stand him being serious like that up there. I'm waiting for the moment when he just jumps out and says "GOT YOU!!!"

  • isn't "ah" like this "ㅏ"

  • nvm,jk got the difference.

  • no "ah" is like this o ㅏ

  • you're awsomeeeeeeeeeeee...I love you u make my work so much easier:D thankssss

  • you can read a newspaper with 2,000 characters

  • 5000. but I agree this guy exaggerates it.

  • thanku so much!!

    sooooooooooo

    much

  • hmmm.. so from what i understand (from native chinese person) a lot of chinese can NOT read or write in chinese. speaking yes, but NOT reading or writing becasue its soooooo difficult. but then again, if its difficult, it requires a lot of concentration to learn. I think that if a 4 year old can master that many characters their "brain" power is predisposed or trained to be able to rememerize so many things. Thats why Asian specifically chinese do so well in school? They are used to memorizing.

  • that's right east asians have higher IQ than ppl from rest of the world

  • thats really helpful! :D thanks!

  • WOW! That's another great vid!!
