  • Fine piece of history... But you must realize that it's blown out of proportion(propaganda).

and that you shouldn't make judgments if you don't know the truth.

  • Not the most thoroughly objective documentary ever produced. Still, good viewing.

  • Very interesting the way the japs are referred to as "the little people'. One would likely get into considerable trouble these days if those kind of terms were used in reference to race today, I think, due to bleeding-heart legislation. The WW2 propaganda element is most interesting from an historical perspective. A good clip.

  • One...never watch this video on full volume with your month old baby. Stupid fucking ww2 propaganda. And today Made in America is is crap...except Boeing.

  • japan copies everything, to this day. no innovation of their own. this is a good video. it shows the cruelty of a greedy imperial dictatorship power hungry to invade and kill anyone in their way. monsters. "they look to the skies for everything"... LOL they sure did in 1945 didnt they. and the crap stopped, didnt it. in less than a week, not 10+ years and counting like it takes these days.

  • excellent vid. today china copies us. lol

  • That's it, I'm throwing my nintendo in the trash

  • Fantastic piece ... thanks for posting! Love it

  • us goverments keep trying to have more stupid citizents

that thing over your shoulders is not only made for wearing hats

  • @ goodclayaircraft ...no, french people dont need friends, they are adaptable with everybody ...they surrendered 1940 and paris was an open-city for the germans ...after WW2 berlin, tokyo, rome, london were in ruins! but paris was the only european capital not destroyed during the war>> very clever, these frenchies :-) ...cheers

  • @1bottlejackdaniels You're forgetting Prague.

  • Land of the little people?? I thought we were friends with the French in WW2...

  • @goodclayaircraft French??? litle??? have you ever seen what's after that hill you redneck?

  • fukn japs chopped aussies heads off coz we were taller than them...little cunts.

my grandfather fought those little fukrs and he said they were animals.

  • And now their cars fill our highways. I don't understand that people would even concider buying a car from japan.

  • @MrCuntPunch

Because they are better than most American cars?

  • Lets see them offer a V8 powered sedan for $35,000, then we'll talk. I'm referring of course to my Grand Marquis :)

  • @MrCuntPunch It is actually pretty dificult to find any caar actually fully made in the USA. Even back in the 1970s chrysler products were made in canada

  • "all things come from the skies...." you betcha. RIP Eddie Allen.

  • Hateful yes... but don't forget the context of the time...

  • kill those evil little people!!!

  • fuk yeah, lmao...kill the little ppl.

  • I absolutely love this airplane!!

  • "Land of the little people" I lol'd.

  • wow i never seen someone die before and this video showed it like it was nothing

  • While certainly this is a pretty hardcore piece of propaganda, I think bomberguy's intention here was to talk about the airplane, not political stuff. Please kindly take this kind of comment elsewhere. I believe someone has synced an audio file of a Noam Chomsky lecture to scenes from WWII in the Pacific and Viet Nam. That might be more appropriate for your discussion.

  • @blownglasslide You know what? No one has to take your orders to take the discussion elsewhere.

  • B-29 was a very pretty bomber

  • The volcanoes reminded me of Dianetics. Maybe L. Ron Hubbard was behind WWII.

  • One thing I was thinking of is.. why does the narrator say that it is a plane from the people if he isnt even telling the people the range, distance and bombload? That doesnt sound correct?

  • Because they were wartime secrets at the time this movie was made.

  • Yeah I guess. But come on, it was clear to almost everyone that the US will win the war sooner or later. I dont think it would have made any difference.

  • Secrecy was taken incredibly seriously at the time. If you look at the wartime newspapers, they're even pretty obscure about major campaigns. Stuff like performance figures was never mentioned. If one life could be saved by secrecy, it was considered worth it.

  • The more things change the more they stay the same.

  • Grew up IN Wichita; Loved anything to do with Boeing and the USAF. GREAT video!
