I love this song. :)) My teacher in Primary 4 (singaporean equivalent of grade 6) made us listen to this song. She was super nice, but in Dec last year she got cancer and couldn't teach us anymore. We were all really sad. but she came back to school on 8th August! and we were all very happy and excited! Really glad she's back-- relief teacher was horrid. I'm in Primary six now :)

@NinjaStacie09 Cyanobacteria (ones of the most complicated bacterias) have procaryotic cell and they also have Chlorophyll A and B, so they re green and photosynthesize.

And when you re speaking about the mistakes: We re not green so we cant photosynthesize is absolutely wrong :D

for example Bacillariophyceae are brown and photosynthesize :)

This song has some misconceptions and wrong ideas. :(

some plants DO NOT photosynthesize!!!!! E.G Rafflesia

And not only plants photosynthesize some bacterias does too!

And they produce mainly glucose not cellulose.

and chlorophyll is spelled wrongly

but then the song is catchy and easy for beginners to learn about photosynthesis.

Just wanted to clarify some stuff so that these learners won't get confused when they dig further into photosynthesis :)

@hynseon Well, If you want to be that specific, the song says "to make cellulose." One of the main uses of glucose in plants is making cellulose. Hence, the whole song is a clusterfuck of simplification and imprecise information. The idea behind this song is to engage young children in sciences. Criticizing it overshoots it point. But kudos for attempting :P
