  • Wish I could re-do my quiz now ...

  • screw yourteachermath khan academy FTW :D like! :)

  • This video was so helpful for me! Thank you so much!

  • this video helped me with my geometry basics and now i understand the pi/4 corrdinate in the unit circle

  • Instead you should have just multiplied the 8 by root 2 to get the hypotenuse

  • @penguinx10 It's an equivalent expression, but I do think that he should mention that c=asqrt(2)=bsqrt(2)

  • nice video.

now get a stylus and a trackpad

  • its so funny how i mastered this last year and this yr i cant remember but am okay now thanks to the internet. my teacher doesnt teach me nothing.

  • I'm watching this for my geo. test tomorrow, and I get it now!

  • This dont make sense

  • Maybe one day you'll be able to make the mathematical calculations of IV Therapy make more sense than they do now.

I know how to do them, but I wish I knew why all the stuff we're calculating is coming out to those numbers.

This one doctor, in the spirit of showing us his 'superior skills,' did the calculation for making up a dose of missed Dilantin in his head.

It took him 5 minutes to go through all the calculations and I thought, Who'd wanna go through all that? It sounds monstrous.

  • whenever he says 90 i keep hearing niney

  • wonderful vid, thanks for the upload

  • thanks to you im not going to fail my geometry final :)

  • Sal my math teacher told me why mathematicians dont like irrational numbers in the denominator and its beacuse in the past when there wasnt any calculators it was way more difficult to divide by a irrational number so if you rationalize the denominater you are then dividing by a whole number. It is much easier to divide by a whole number then a irrational number. I hope I was able to clarify this for it is the least I can do in return for much you have helped me.

  • Thanks this really helps..but you should find a better program to wright with lol

  • 7:50-7:55 ....because 45 plus 90 plus 90 equals 180. haha you crack me up

  • Omg, I love whoever made this video!

It's helped me so much cause I really don't get this..and have a quiz tomorrow. D:

  • wat. thee fuk

  • thanks=)

  • thanks sal

  • Thanks got a final 2morrow & just got it!!

  • this is starting to make some sense....lol

  • Of all the Math teachers I had in school, Miss R. and Mr. A. were the only ones who sounded interested in the subject they were teaching.

Every time I got a teacher who wasn't interested, it was harder to do well in the course. For me.

Sal is like that guy who went to Cornell and got a Ph.D. in Biomolecular Chemistry and Microbiology. Every time the guy told me about a scientific theory, he sounded interested.

It helps if the teacher sounds like it's worth pursuing the subject.

  • @vickiormindyb massive indictment of Government institutions which only serve as as havens for steady job careerists who make the minimum effort to earn that pay cheque and get by.

  • Im home schooled and your video's are helping me with math. Thank you

  • I'm homeschooled too, but I'm ahead in math so this is just a reviewe for me.

p.s. I'm a LOT younger than you might think.

  • @MobiusVideos Damn HOW CAN YOU LIVE<!!!!

  • Nevermind my last post I wasn't paying attention. It was late at night when I was watching this video. You were not solving for the hypotenuse but for one of the sides. Im not used to seeing it solved that way and seeing the constants worked out that way.

  • Hmm I think I caught on something where B = 8 and C = 8 times sqrt. 2

I did some calculating and found that C will always be A or B times the sqrt. of 2.

Little something to add there. Rest I found exelent. Thanks sooo much!!

  • Wow very well said but wouldnt it just be easier to multiply one of the NON-hypotenuse legs by Square root of 2? Thanks for you explanation i never understood how that all worked till now.

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... now i get it

  • The second viewing made more sense.

I wish I could rationalize certain people as easily as denominators.

  • study economics

  • I don't understand how the square root of 2 can be 2.

I'll have to watch this over and over, I can tell already.

I never took Geometry in school, 'cause the teacher told me I'd never pass it.

It isn't true. I've already made it up to this video.

I learn English & Literature faster than Math, but have found no opportunities in that field. Besides, I really really want to write computer games and work w/ graphics.

  • the sqrt. of 2 x the sqrt. of 2 is = 2

    not the sqrt. of 2=2

p.s. I'm a LOT younger than you might think.

  • You should make your comment make sense please

  • The SQRT(2) isn't 2, the SQRT(2)*SQRT(2)=2 because the square root of anything times itself is the original number.

  • that is what i said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • never take a math class over summer school, we go over 5 days worth of notes, test quizzes and information in 5 hours and its just not orth it. i forget most of what i learn.

  • wow thanks that helped a lot and i got a big test tomorro haha
