I always felt it was weird how you had Cecil Colby and ColbyCo Oil in Denver and NO mention of Jason as well as California and Colby Enterprises....someone explain if I'm wrong. Dynasty made out there was only Philip (Jeffs apparent Dad, dead) and Cecil running an Oil Empire...grrr.

Pitty Pamela Sue Martin left as Fallon, this one isnt Fallon, there is only one actress that can play her and that is Pamela Sue Martin.

This show really had a first class cast. But since Sable and Francesca were supposed to be sisters, they really should have gotten a British actress to portray Francesca. It makes no sense that one sister has a thick British accent and the other talks like an American.

just seeing the opening makes me thing "agh...the blew it big time with this crap" Dynsaty was so awesome...and all of the sudden, BOOM! it drops from the number 1 spot in 1985, agh :(

I think Ali McGraw was as boring as Katharine Ross. What is more, instead of another movie star, I'd have pick a TV-star for that role, for instance Stefanie Powers. But Katharine Ross is not all of guilty if Frankie was so plain. The writers had given all the good qualities to Sable (who was extraordinary) and nothing to her sister, who is unable to be scheming as Sable and Alexis or loveable as Krystle.

Kathrine Ross was so plain in comparison to her sister. That poor casting choice makes the older-love-triangle of the show unbelievable!!

Who in is right mind would choose her over the delicious & sexy Stephanie Becham??

If Sable is over-the-top, and the guideline for the casting agent was "low key" character, I would choose someone like Ally Macgraw (Lady Ashley) - though "calm" yet classy with a spark you can't ignore!!

Totally a match for sable!!

Why all the Asian "servants"? (Just like Alexis Asian "servant" Lin...)

Too bad there were no prominent characters of color in "The Colbys" (except the flashing appearances of Dominique).
