Have we ever seen a war game that teaches mediation. Or even a medic the heals someone. Even suffering is nothing but a funny noise. Our nation just watched an entire war with estimate of up to 1,000,000 dead. We watched rockets from plane blowing up targets. But no dead people!.... reality. We are drifting from reality at a very rapid rate.
A dear friend who love gaming wasted away a real mother who was running to him for help in Iraq. Her child wounded and now so is he. "Real" world stuff.

@chrysaliscamp true, one must not forget that games are not reality, but in as much as there is less risk in trying new and different things on a gane than in real life one can take more chances in that which one want sto accomplish. besides not all games are about killing and magic. yes killing a foe is a general goal, but how do you go about doing it, that is the point. magic on the other hand, does need to be adressed, not nessecarly removed, educate the players that it is not real.
@chrysaliscamp continuing on, magic, if understood that it is not real, can be over looked as a problem because of the understanding of its unreality. its only ever a plot device or a play mechanic, another way of playing. one cant be expected to play in the same manner as every other player in the world. in one game i play, i use bows, a guy i know uses a axe, another fire magic, all ways of dealing with the same world. i dont expect to do the same thing as you do in the real world, why do you?
@chrysaliscamp You can win in real life by killing and cheating too, and it is entirely possible to escape the consequences of doing so. The real world really is unfair.

There is a MAJOR flaw to gaming training. You win a game by:
Killing
Magic
Cheating
No consequences
After 5 hours a day of this children feel the real world is unfair.
We can not get mixed up between reality simulation training and what is represented in this vedio

@chrysaliscamp News flash: the real world IS unfair. And if someone can't see the line between fantasy and reality, then that's their problem.
