Actually, this vid does make sense as a possible contributor to their seperation. We all know that his ship and his work were the other great loves of Kirk's life. it makes sense to me that Kirk would alternately take Spock for granted and then overwhelm him with passionate attention. Kirk was that kinda guy, he works hard,he plays hard, he loves intensely. That's a lot to handle when you're a conflicted, sensitive soul like Spock. Thanks for inspiring me to go back and rewatch the movie!
