agrees with dinosaurjr420. ultimately music had been dumbed down to appeal to the masses. the music industry really cares about the bottom line and not talent anymore. unfortunately it is the low brow drooling average consumer that keeps hitting the feeder bar .. not caring what comes out of it.
@donniecrump exactly what was on my mind, I just didn't want to start an off-topic rant. The music industry is deceitful, and ran much more towards the business end of things. It's not a forum to expose the best and most talented acts, like it claims to be, like I feel it should be... In my eyes bands like Melvins would have mansions, etc, they have worked the hardest.
this sounds very little like in bloom. other than the drum beat is played with no guitars in places. but then many led zeppelin songs are like that as well. if you mean it has drums, guitars, and distortion, then yes they are identical. oh and i think both songs have a drum roll or two.
@donniecrump who said it sounded like in bloom? considering melvins were around a while before nirvana you'd have to say in bloom sounded like the melvins......not the other way around.
@jumeau1 i did not say it sounded like in bloom .. scratches head. huh? xalancampbellx thought kurt may have. however yes the melvins were around before nirvana but this song came out long after in bloom .. based the on album release date of senile animal. many others said it sounded like it. i said it really did not. the chord progression is actually low to high where in bloom is high to low. i think the drum piece is the only part that keeps pace with in bloom .. actually.
the Melvins are an amazing band and the fact that they are not extremely popular is probably cause there not sell out whores and they stay true to there sound (legends in my book)
I bought gluey porch treatments a few days ago and was blown away by how fucking raw is was, real grunge. I love the Melvins! Come to North Carolina! (preferably Cat's Cradle in Carrboro)
dear king buzzo, i love you for your multi-colored cows breastplate, more than anything. a senile animal is currently blowing my mind on daily rotation. "they're not dead, only sleeping"

A Senile is the melvins best effort since Houdini

@lionslicer9999 If you can't find anything to love about the Melvins except ASA and Houdini, I don't think they are the band for you.
dinosaurjr420 1 year ago
@dinosaurjr420 i just said it was their best effort since houdini, obviously there are awesome albums inbetween.
lionslicer9999 1 year ago
@lionslicer9999 Fair enough. I don't think the Melvins have a best album. I love them all the same, they're all so perfect.

Most of the Ipecac and Hydrahead artists are using these guitars now. They're made by Electric Guitar Company.
freddielololol 1 year ago
personally i think if buzz put a guitar string on a work boot he would still be awesome. ;)

Wow Buzz isn`t using his Gibson!!!
