I have the new nickels and i have the new pennies. At first I thought that the new pennies that i had were very rare and that they had only made so many cause i am the only one out of my family and friends to get each one of these 4 new pennies.

That half dime you have is a very nice coin. The war nickles however have the mint marks on them. That don't mean they are war nickles it just means where they was minted. You can tell they are war nickles by the date or by looking closely at them. You will see they look different then the jefferson nickles and will have a silver shine to them. Also, they continue to make the Indian head/Buffalo nickels in 24k gold, no? If so, how would you obtain one other than trading over the internet? For instance, my aunt got me the state quarters from the post office as they were newly issued. Could I do the same with the 24k nickels?

In my currency collection my oldest bill is from 1886 its in crisp uncirculated condition but my rarest bill is a !901 Lewis and Clark Bison $10 bill it is in crisp condition and I bought it about 4 years ago after saving a bunch of money the price has gone up about 3000 dollars!

I don't think it's a lie, I think he's misinformed. I have a few indian heads, one of them happens to be a 1905. It's only worth a dollar in circulated grade. The only way it could be worth "so-so" 1000 dollars is if it were in super high grade

There was also an 1882 liberty nickel pattern. I would imagine anyone willing to spend $3 for the 1913 would also seek the 1882 for an collection which is truly complete. A lot of people don't know about the 1858 Indian cent either.

The thing on the back is probably a shield, and if so, then that's a two-cent piece and the date is 1866, not 1966.
