Hi my name is John I live in Warren county pa I was wondering if you have to have a license to open carry here I called the sharifs office and got no help or even if you could point me in the right direction to look it up
Good vid but let me elaborate on the "Concealed carry permit" lie that PA is telling you. To all who have one, look at it and tell me where it says "Concealed carry". It doesn't. It is a license to carry a firearm. PA is an open carry state so you can walk around with an exposed pistol on your hip without a permit and they can't say squat. I do not have a permit, nor will I ever get one. Read Article 1 Section 21 of the PA Constitution. It is a right and not a privelage. I hope this helps.
@Punxsyjumper I agree with everything you just said. And i'm going to take a look at the sections you are talking about as well. This is simply letting people know the correct procedure in obtaining your license. Thanks for watching.
im from PA myself man..nice vid you have here..and nice channel as well..im gunna sub ya...i remember when i got my permit it took about three weeks and was basically a walk in walk out type of deal.....yet i had to take a 2 day course to go hunting?...the laws are flawed
@metallicaholic43088 Thanks for watching friend, and also for the support. PA is one of the weirdest states in my opinion when it comes to getting a weapons license. But the hunting license is pretty much on par with MOST of the other states. I had to take a course to get my hunters license both in MS and in GA...
@metallicaholic43088 yeh personally i think there should be a mandatory class on self defence and gun safety...before you can get your concealed carry permit.....REGARDLESS..of what state you live in....its sorta scary thinking any 21 year old kid with no prior convictions can just walk in and a few weeks later go bak and have a permit to carry a loaded handgun....however anyone over 12 has to take that hunting course just to walk around the woods with a .22 ....scary system we have here
that's retarded. the Constitution doesn't say "the right to bear arms shall not be infringed...as long as you have training." what are you, some kind of cop retard? it's enough of a restriction that we have to have a license to conceal in the first place. we don't need any more restrictions beyond that.
Look at Switzerland for example: NO country will invade them. Why? Because the Swiss are traditionalist. The People must serve in the military mandatory, the government pays for their arms, and the People are allowed to keep it, and they hold an annual shoot competition paid for by the Switzerland government. Their gun laws are not strict at all but they don't have gun rights in their Bill of Rights. However; we do the 2nd Amendment but its being taken away folks!
In my opinion, if schools in PE teach sports like archery, why don't they teach skeet shooting? What's the big deal? Or after high school when I student joins the military, they further their gun training. That's how a LEO would know if anyone with a firearm has had training of some sort.
@iaranda1985 When I lived in Ohio, there were some private schools, and one public school, that actually did have Skeet Shooting teams. I remember so many people getting up in a huff when a high school student in our area was state champion in her school's skeet shooting people. It was such a laugh to hear people all yelling about how kids shouldn't have guns etc... Really, she was a responsible young adult, a good student, and a damned good shot. I wish more schools would offer shooting classes
@CJUS511TAC Very good points. So how would law enforcement officials know that you've taken a course? I think thats why we are all issued permits, to show that we've taken a firearms course and are competent (some of us anyway)....So we DO all have the right to bear arms, but we still have to go through the process. I DONT believe a criminal should have that right.
You're welcome. My point is are you an American? Do you believe in The Constitution? Article 6 Paragragh 2 plainly says "this constitution shall be the supreme law of the land. Anything else is not withstanding." Meaning it don't exist.
my earlier post are Supreme Court Decisions and all lower courts are bound to uphold it.
Can you get a weapons license from a state you don't live in? Is that what you meant by the 22 state recognition? If your state recognizes that license you can apply for it??
@PinkMist88 You can but its not worth it. For most counties in PA, they want you to physically come in and fill out the application... not worth it unless you live in the state.. .Go for Florida or Utah, best most honored permits...
Thanks for watching first of all. I'm not sure what your point is here. I'm NOT from the state of PA, i was doing this video as a favor... I believe in every americans right to bear arms, but we cannot be stupid enough not to follow the law of the land... Bottom line..Feel free to do as you please, but i for one will follow the laws of a democratic society that is based on a system... without a system there would be chaos....Again thanks for watching..

Here are a few cases which rebuts your state laws:
Marbury v. Madison, 5 US 137
"The Constitution of these united States is the supreme law of the land. Any law that is repugnant to the Constitution is null and void of law."
Murdock v. Pennsylvania 319 US 105
"No state shall convert a liberty into a privilege, license it, and attach a fee to it."
Shuttlesworth v. Birmingham 373 US 262
"If the state converts a liberty into a privilege, the citizen can engage in the right with impunity."
