@alienboyguitar Actually it's not Spanish. The Spanish spelling is Sirena which is not the spelling of her name in the movie. It's Syrena with a Y. And syrena means mermaid in polish so Syrena the name is of polish origin.

Not that I'm knocking the mermaids, obviously you aren't going to give someone lines if they can't act, no matter how good at swimming they are, I just thought it was interesting the distinction people drew between them.
