Thank You so much for these videos, they have been extremely inspirational. I was wondering if youve ever experienced an issue in the loading mode where the selected folders i chose to "do it" dont actually load except for only three of the sounds out of the folder? Would you know why its not loading all my samples?

onelonedork: What exactly are the benefits of downloading jj os 1? In part 1 you recommended it for beginners but didn't specify why or what it does. Thanks.

@stanchize22 if you google JJOS you'll find a list of all the things that it adds to your mpc. Basically it gives you most of the features only available in the mpc 2500 and a few other great features.

hi when i press mode then pad 2 i get 2 the load menu on the memory card i can hear wav samples by clicking play but when i click load it says insufficient memory. i dont know how to get the pads working either i can just preview sounds in folders on the menu? any help is greatly appreciated thanks

when im in the load screen the only option i have is the memory card, there is no internal, when i scroll the grey wheel thing it says 'waiting..' for a second and then nothing happens. what to i press to get to internal ?

@ChocoLicio It really just depends on your work flow. Some days I use Ableton and other days i use the mpc.

try to stay away from the blue mpc 1000's unless they've had there pads upgraded, and try to stick to a seller with a high rating.

The blue mpc's have pad problems. The pads get less and less sensitive, until they no longer work. You will probably want to get the pad upgrade kit.

i cant seem to assign my pads, like it says assign pad but it doesnt play when i hit it.

Your not assigning it to a pad by the sounds of it, simply loading it up into the machines RAM to edit it via Trim. If you use your jog wheel you can select the pad and bank number you wish to assign it too. Good Luck!

yea but i've heard from many traditional/old school producers that hardware is their weapon of choice for them.

well... is a discussion such as analog vs digital... both worlds have its pros and cons... software is usually much cheaper (sometimes even free), but hardware is a standalone (no computer involved)... depending on what you are looking for one will be better than the other... i prefer hardware because i like to experiment with interfaces and knobs, feel the real thing in my hands, computers make me uncreative...

Listen, No ever win's the software v.s. hardware fight. I've seen People do amazing stuff with both. So let your music do the talking, not your setup.

i use both and dont undersand hardware.....only piece of hardware i KIND OF get is the MPC...for some reason when i use hardware....something always messes up.......das why i use software and my music CAN do the talking if you check out my channel das where i put my beats and stuff
