  • Actually, the common Grey Wolf, what you showed in this video, is FAR from endangered. That would be why they took him off the ENDANGERED species list. The grey wolf has actually been running into problems without overpopulation, hence the aerial hunting.

  • @toasty100 humans are far more overpopulated than wolves! we don't go around saying oh to many people lets kill some. so, would it be right if someone chased you in a plane and slowly let you bleed out on the ground and filling you with buckshot?!?!

  • it also says to take care of the world i like wolves but i like hunting if a wolf is killing your live stock go a head protect your farm but if it is minding its own buisness leave it be

  • it also says to take care of the world i like wolves but i like hunting if a wolf is killing your live stock go a head protect your farm but if it is minding its own buisness leave it be

  • It is pretty disconcerting to see the sad condition of the American public's common sense!! Too many Americans think with thier heart and not with their heads. When determining wolf policy, why not poll the people that live in the areas impacted by the wolves instead of people living in cities who are totally disconnected from the reality of wolves? To me, this makes much more sense than listening to urbaniteswho are swayed by propaganda!!

  • Beautiful video! My daughter is a wolf nut and will want to see this. Man encroaching on animals habitat and the government/politics are to blame, NOT the innocent wolves!

  • Wolves are not completely innocent animals. Look up what devastating effects wolves can have on animals (both wild and domestic) and occasionally humans! Remember: FACTS first, then opinions!

  • *Raises eyebrow*

Devestating effects on animals and humans? HELLO!! This has been going on for hundreds of years! It's part of nature (not the human part) And humans have ALSO have done devastating effects on animals too! We're not so innocent either! AND THESE. ARE. FACTS.

  • Yes, I KNOW the facts - AGAIN - man encroaching on their environment, plain & simple! Live and let live!

  • I wasn't talking to you MrGaloopy, but to rodeorulz15. I hope this clears up any confusion.

  • My Pop always taught me that when you kill an animal you do it to feed your family or protect your family from immediate danger. Not to reduce population. If we are going to do that then why not say start murdering children or making women infertile the whole world is too blame for over population. If the animal is killed not to feed a family or to protect them from being killed then just leave it alone. I do not believe in hunting for sport but, I do believe in hunting to feed your family.

  • Well said meowbunny! You seem to be getting the point I'm trying to make. :)

  • I agree partially to what you have to say. I feel that you should use what you can off the animal that you hunt and not waste it. I don't agree that animals should be hunted solely for sport. However, in the case of management (NOT sport) I think there are instances where you cannot utilize the entire animal (such as wolves, coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions...etc.). If we continue to let wolves freely repopulate and overwhelm the country we WILL have problems!

  • fuck wolves.

whts the problem killing fucked wolf?

  • It affects A LOT of nature. THAT'S the problem.

  • the problem is that they

    have nothing to do with

anything.. they just do what they have

to do to survive.. they are innocent animals being

    l\killed & tortured for no

    reason...ugh stupid people like you

    piss me off...

  • Okay, you're saying killing the animals is wrong, and that they're being totured for no reason, and the you turn around and say it's people like me that piss you off? Um, I'm doing something to PROTECT the wolves, in case you haven't noticed.

  • I think anythindog is saying people like CHEERFALCON piss her off :p The video was so true and beautiful <3 LONG LIVE OUR WOLVES! There was a wolf that excaped from Yellowstone and traveled down here^^ They can't find her, I wish they would leave her alone =/ I miss having wild wolves (cept in yellowstone of course xD).

  • Oh, thanks for clearing that up KittyKraz13!!^^

  • They do more than just what they have to do to survive. They also kill for sport. Look it up and you will see! Tortured? I'm sure that torture happens a lot less than you think it does!

  • Psh, shut up. I get it. They kill. So do we.

And YES, they ARE. TORTURED. It's cruel and inhumane.

And, no offense, but you're starting to piss me off.

  • I'm sorry that I"m pissing you off, that is not my intention. I just wanted to debate this with you and show you both sides.

I realize that some animals are tortured, but why do you have to be stereotypical towards the hunters hunting these wolves. Just because there may be one wolf out of 50 (2%) who gets tortured that really isn't that great of a percentage of wolves being tortured. These numbers are just thrown out there, they have no factual basis. The point is, not everyone is that bad.

  • I love how someone can post a pile of words and call them "facts" it is people like you that are destroying the wild life in North America, these people are doing a little something called conservation, PS you really need to do a little more research before you try and fill everyone elses heads with your egotistical BS.

  • One, these ARE facts.

Two, conservation? Those people in Wyoming and Idaho that approve of getting rid of wolves because they think that wolves are killing their hunting game, WHEN WOLVES ARE NOT.

And three, how are we killing the enviornment by putting these videos up. We want to save what we have of this world, not destroy it.

So, go ahead and say what you want, but I have better plans to save the wolf than read you comments.

  • I agree videokenner! MidnightMoon111 please site your "facts" with references so we all know where these facts came from.

    MidnightMoon111 this is to you:

I happen to be from Wyoming. I would not be shooting wolves because of wild game. I would be shooting them because of the damage they do to domestic animals (not their natural prey). They even tend to kill animals for sport (believe it or not). If you don't believe me look it up!!!! They don't always eat everything they kill!

  • These ACTUAL FACTS came from a rescue agency who are against people who go out and shoot at wolves that aren't even attacking livestock of their's. And maybe why is so other animals might be able to eat if they couldn't catch prey. Everything has a heart, believe it or not.

  • LOL! You seriously think those wolves are killing animals in order for other predators/scavengers to survive! Look it up and see if you find anything that proves that. I suppose you are calling that a fact too?? Which rescue agency? This is probably a biased website. Not saying that other websites aren't biased. But you need to look at both sides before you form your own opinion. If wolves aren't causing problems then they probably should be left alone...the one thing we agree on.

  • THAT'S FREAKIN' IT! I've SO had it with you! Yes, it is a real agency, but I'm not going to tell you because then you'll get on them about your BS you call "facts"! AND it came from a REAL agency!

And didn't you read my other comments:

    THESE. ARE. FACTS!!!!

  • I won't get on them and I never doubted that it was a real agency. I just think it is wise to site these "facts". I've never once stated that anything I've said was fact or fiction for that matter. However if you look a lot of what I've said up on the internet or in books you'll find that I've stated honest opinions from facts that I've found. If you want I'll look up what I've said and post back links for proof. Fair enough?

  • Plus, with wolves killing excess deer, more animals who might not be able to kill animals could find it. It's nature, and let nature take care of the animals.

    End of discusion.

  • Have you heard of the Boom or Bust theory? Maybe you should look it up. If the wolves Boom (this is very likely since they are an apex predator) it will cause other animals to Bust. Coyotes are scavengers, so yes anything the wolves leave behind they could eat. Remember wolves don't just kill deer though, they also kill other animals. It is much more natural for these animals to be killed (rather than livestock) by wolves, I'll certainly agree with that.

  • It's bloodlust (not sport) that makes the wolf excited after they've killed an animal. And don't we hunt for sport?

  • Whatever you want to call it. It does happen though that's all I'm saying. Yes, unfortunately there are people who hunt for sport. Personally, I'm more concerned about putting meat in the freezer for my family to eat. To say we all hunt for sport would be very inaccurate.

  • how dumb are these people. First; killing wolves is cruel and uncalled for, Second; i'd like to see how long they like their elk population once it's rageing out of control and i'm laughing in their face! :(

    Wolves deserve to live!

  • Wolves deserve to live...until they are killing prey that is not their natural prey. Ranchers should have the right to protect what belongs to them (horses, cattle, sheep, dogs...etc.). If too many wolves are killed (I highly doubt this will happen in this day in age) then elk numbers probably will rise in which case the game and fish can allow more elk tags to make up for their being less elk. Explain: How did the elk manage to not be "raging out of control" when the wolves weren't around??

  • I'm sorry, i just love wolves; and i hate when people kill preditors for doing what they have to in order to survive :( i understand killing them to protect your livestock or yourself if your in imediate danger, but any other reason is just stupid :(

  • Not their natural prey? *Laughs* Seriously. Imagine, if you will, that you're a hungry wolf who hasn't had anything to eat in days, and suddenly a whole bunch of fresh meat is milling around doing nothing, right in front of you! What are you going to do, sit back and do nothing?

    NO!

This is your chance of survival. That's why wolves kill livestock sometimes.

And highly doubt that too many wolves will be killed? I recommend looking at this year's population, not ten or so years ago.

  • Not natural, that's what I said. By not natural I mean, humans brought livestock into the picture. Wolves' natural prey includes but is not limited to elk, moose, deer, and caribou. As far as livestock goes, I believe that a livestock owner should be able to protect what is his/hers. Livestock owners as well as other people who live in wolf populated areas goes, probably also see wolf management as a preventative measure to help keep animal decimation to a minimum.

  • Some people disgust me. Killing wolves is barbaric! They did nothing to us so why should we hurt them! I swear sometimes I just want to...ugh!

  • If you knew anything about wolves and their behavior, you would realize that it is urban develpment that has brought them to become endangered. Everyone, not just hunters are to blame. And now, with so little environment left, all species must be managed. Including the wolf.

  • That is true. Though the hunters are easy targets to put this on it's not just their fault. What really sickens me is that the government has ignored some of the problems like this and won't do anything about it. Sorry. That's just me ranting again. Whoops!

  • Wolf numbers have to be managed. Hunting is the best and most efficient way to do so.

  • Um, no. It's not.

  • Then what is? Enlighten me...please

  • The best way:

Nature. If the wolf's time has come, then it has come. Don't let humans decide that time.

  • The problem with that is that wolves have little or no predators. They are at or near the top of the food chain. They will flourish in too great of numbers to let nature humanely decide when a wolf's time has come. They would likely die of starvation or sickness before they died of old age or when their time has come.

  • Hunting (and fishing especially) is disgusting :<

Let me rephrase: KILLING is disgusting.

I mean, it's not even like killing the wolves has any good consequence.. in fact it's WORSE!

  • Are you a vegetarian? You must be if you think killing is disgusting. How do you think that steak made its way into the grocery store?

The wolf population has to be controlled not eliminated. In order to control it, there will be wolves that have to be eliminated.

  • 'We humans fear the beast within the wolf because we do not understand the beast within ourselves.' - Gerald Hausman

I really want wolves to be reintroduced here in the UK. They are such beautiful creatures, why would anyone want to get rid of them?

  • they were actully considering reintroducing wolves to scotland. Not sure whats happening with that... but i hope they do.

  • Yeah, they have a big government plan to reintroduce Wolves, Beavers, and some other creatures into the UK. ^^ Not 100% when, but they are doing all the impact testings. =]

  • Yep I live in Montana, one of the biggest populations and where alot of the killing has happened, its sickening.

    -is from Cali-

And omg thats exactly what I say!

The ranchers here are allowed to kill wolves that come near or kill their livestock, which is already enough.

And its ridiculous here how people are obsessive about hunting, we need more vids to save the bobcats and even deer are running low ecspecially whitetail here in montana because there less and less forest. They need help!

  • Why do people hate wolves so much? They were here first, we moved into their turf. And I understand contoling the population but nearly wiping them out?

  • They believe that if they get rid of the wolves, the elk and deer populations will be okay, when it won't...

  • If you believe in God at all you should recall that in Genesis 1 it states that land animals and humans were created on the same day. Who said anything about wiping them out? Or even nearly wiping them out? Yes there are people that hate wolves. To clarify, I don't hate wolves, but if they are doing damage to domestic animals or people they need to be taken care of (not exterminated) and managed better. Too many wolves = Too many problems

  • There are too LESS wolves! Don't you get it yet?! And, just looked it up, you are most likely to be struck by lightning than being attacked by a wolf.

  • I'm sure you are more likely to be struck by lightning that be attacked by a wolf, there's not a doubt in my mind. However, shouldn't we as individuals be able to prevent what is preventable. Check out the problems people have been having in Minnesota. There has also been mention of people feeding wolves in Yellowstone, which is a very bad idea (obviously).

We should ALL just be thankful that wolves are back and helping balance out the ecosystem.

  • there are to many where i live and wolf hunting is not bad its natural, humans have been around to hunt wolves since there were wolves alive

  • @tardich180

There is nothing natural about the way people hunt wolves. If for sport it's downright cruel, but if you're about providing for your family I can understand. People need to learn that every species needs another, because without one species, another could get in serious trouble.

  • @MidnightMoon111

First off, for people and wildlife to properly co-exist, hunting needs to exist to cull populations of animals, this includes wolves.

Why is it you only seem to care about wolves, there are plenty of other animals being 'tortured', rattlesnake roundups are awful, they have no proof or reason why they take thousands of snakes out of the ecosystem, just to slaughter them before a cheering crowed.

  • @kandixcorpse I DO care about other animals that in danger of becoming a part of the endagered species list. And I had no idea about rattlesnake roundups. I've heard of dog fighting and rooster fighting though, and want those stopped too. Sometimes some things are never heard of. But thanks for telling me about it. Oh, & yes, I agree, sometimes we need to hunt to keep populations under control, but the WOLF population is very low. Hunters just want to get rid of an animal we actually need.

  • @tardich180 Too many???? Such stupid comment doesn't take in consideration the use of more refined fireguns and the increase of the human population. We, humans, are the true pest for the wild. Spacially humans like you, serial killers
