Honestly, what is with the antipathy regarding the translation of this series? If it were in Japanese, you could bet it would be a WEEK, tops, before it got full English subs.
How often do these come out? The quality of the animation is above average, here, but there's a MASSIVE jump in overall cleanness, from #27 to #31. Is it simply the difference in quality of the videos or does it actually take over a month (hell, even multiple months) to crank out a single stinking 20-minute episode?
Japan has hundreds of anime that beat the pants off of this and air WEEKLY.
@dagdamor1 The first episode of this is from decades ago, I believe. They make them very sporadically, although the newer ones appear to be coming faster.
The people of North Korea aren't starving, their bellies are full with the love of Dear Leader. Isolation and constant propaganda is the way to progress.
Also, HUGE storms always happen when Dear Leader shouts!
I wonder what the voice recording session for the first greeting was like. "SAY IT TOGETHER LIKE YOU'RE PITCH CORRECTED ROBOT ALIENS OR YOUR FAMILY GETS THE GULAG!! DO IT AGAIN!!"
@Dudekunle I'm a Weasel by the way... err that is I'm Japanese. Was born in Wolfmerica though. You have to admit it's amazing how the North Koreans stereotyped us all.. and funny the consider the S. Koreans to be incompetent back-stabbers.
@Dudekunle Sort of. Except the "awesome" wolves are just as goofy and ineffectual as their predecessors in the series (the mice and weasels). Outside of the badass training sequence and the hyped-up (but ultimate easily defeated), they don't actually do much that warrants being considered awesome, unless duping a courier out of his delivery of food counts.
@Christhefireshark Both, it seems. Glasses and One-Ear certainly try very, very hard to get respect, and can be quite sadistic and ruthless, but they fail so often and so pitifully it's difficult not to feel bad for them. So I guess they're what TV Tropes terms "ineffectual sympathetic villains."
best korea's best anime!

I was wondering what happened to boss Wolf. Whatever happened to that Gator guy that he ended up replaced with Secretary Fox?

Are the mice/rats supposed to be sympathetic lackeys, or actually evil? I can't really tell.
Christhefireshark 10 months ago
@Christhefireshark The mice are Koreans. The wolves are Americans and the Weasels are Japanese.
