@Zackperry7 How do you know? You prove no evidence. You clearly have put no effort into really judging your beliefs, and they are full of holes. You use fear as a tactic to win over converts, which is a sad mistake. You're what's wrong with religion; exactly what videos like this warn against.
Religious delusion is not just dangerous -- it is psychologically abusive to our children, whom it teached to self-loathe as being born evil, and tells them that they must believe in and submit to an undetectable angry judging superman in the sky or else face eternal punishment. Religion is a noxious psychological cancer and a retardant to the advancement of civilization.
However, there actually HAS been research in this area, and there is a very strongly supported negative correlation. Essentially this means that, as you become more intelligent (as measured by level of education completed), there is a strong possibility that an individual will be LESS religious.
There is also evidence to support the theory that this is a trend present historically (especially if we include Deism as a non-theist philosophy)
@marcotai I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I am a practicing Pastafarian. I wear my pirate patch over my left eye. I follow the gospel according to the FSM and consider all other gods false. His noodly appendages hug all of us with love and caring. @marcotai ""It's true that religious extremism is delusional and

Am i supposed to respect these beliefs as well? I'm sorry, but anyone who believes in something without evidence deserves to be laughed at and ridiculed.
@marcotai There is nothing delusional about the intent of this video. It promotes rational thinking while exposing the dangers of delusion. Calling a spade a spade is not anti-religious extremism, it's just stating the bleeding obvious.
@marcotai Just a small note on your use of broad statistics. Quoting "the majority of geniuses in our history were and are religious people" doesn't really mean anything if you don't demonstrate that the proportion is different than the overall population. Otherwise your argument is basically "the majority of all people are religious". ie: there is no correlation between religiosity and "genius-ness"
2:05 God created evil - Isaiah 45:7 and please don't jump my case about it, i'm just showing you where in the bible that it said otherwise. Take me with a grain of salt though.
Some Creationists believe that their god talks to them when in reality it's just them hearing things. What if one of those Creationists have the power to launch even 1 nuke? What if that specific person heard their god say to launch that nuke at an "unholy" country? Delusion is not just dangerous, its a timebomb to extinction.
@DarkZerkerX Right now, Iran (ruled by a person who thinks his messiah will leave a well in a desert and send him to heaven if he bombs israel) is arming itself with nuclear weapons with our consent.
America has the largest and most advanced army, as well as a devastating cache of nuclear weapons, so we should really attempt to get america secularised as much as possible in the future, and then focus is islam.
Victimizing other's for personal gain is sort of natural so stopping all religions won't solve the problem. Rules of the world are just this way, there's no way to stop it. Think about it, even to sustain your own life you have to eat right? That's life right there...
Sky daddy worship is simply delusional behaviour, practiced by folks who have been brainwashed by the 'herd' of fellow delusional and indoctrinated folks who dare question the stance. The prognosis for escaping this delusion is largely related to the level of conviction in the delusion and the openness the person has in allowing info that contradicts the delusion. Add to that, the fear of damnation and hellfire for straying or daring to question the herd. Sad stuff this sky daddy shit.
@saxmanchiro Sky daddy..jajajajaj. Funny stuff but very true, they see the invisible man in the sky as their daddy that can do no wrong. When things go wrong...well, who do they blame? mmmm...oH yeah...his alter ego...The notorious evil one..THE DEVIL! Throughout history there's been hundreds of mythical gods and they've all been the sky daddies. The modern day one is a compilation of former ones with a change of name. Humanity makes advacements, he is given all the credit...How sad is that!!
Well, you're wrong there. I totally dream of having superpowers. I'd probably keep them secret though. No fun if everyone expects you to save the day all the time. I don't expect to save the world, and I don't intend to conquer it. That wouldn't be very pro-freedom of me. I do like several anime series, but it's barely even a hobby, just a kind of show I like. There does not have to be a "God". Everything in the universe is made up of energy. According to the laws of thermodynamics, energy is eternal and cannot be created or destroyed.
Another flaw in your argument... You say that God created the universe. Who created God. You cannot make a rule saying that everything in existence was created and then lose that principle and say it does not apply to God. If it applies to everything in existence except God, does God not exist...?
Well, look at it this way: We are group animals, we need leaders. some animals aren't as dumb as the others, but that's it. The entire world would be better off if we didn't have imagination. There will always be hate, bigotry, and evil because people are fucking crazy. People, individuals who have ulterior motives and use religion as a tool for their own means. Stupidity and pain is the reason for hate, not religion. You want to solve the problem, educate first, THEN focus you're energy on pointl
btw I have a theory Jesus is the antichrist, here to lead people away form the golden rule and the true meanings of life and brotherhood. To see how scary Christians are, read (Google) Martin Luthers (the protestant leader) book "the Jews and their lies".
Protestantism is proof Jesus is hate, or Martin Luther is all messed up, or both. and Catholics havent always been very nice people either.
you are extremely ignorant, just read the bible which has been backed up with substantial amounts of proof then tell me that Jesus is all hate, you don't have any idea whatyour talking about. You have been deluded from the truth and it makes me sad, why would someone who is pure hate scrifice HImself so that you can live? answer me that one question
worldofwarcraft99: Ask yourself why so much hate and misery and oppression has been committed in the name of Jesus, then ask yourself why he would set such events in motion. It does not make sense, does it. Jesus does not make sense.
Learn the true origin of the fabrications that have been composed into the bible. You will discover it is a bunch of crap.
there is so much hate and misery because of Jesus, it is the evil people commiting the acts of murder and violence. If jesus never existed all these evil people in the world would find something else to fight about, and there would be the same amount of misery and hate. You need to think more instead of randomly posting narcicistic comments that don't even make sense.
worldofwarcraft99: Evil Jesus Christ, gods Imposter son, made Christians belief that people sin, must be saved, belief in Jesus is necessary to be saved; people must spread this philosophy, if necessary by the sword. Furthermore, the belief and practice is, anyone who does not submit to the Christian cults can be exploited because they are damned anyway.
I curse Jesus for starting these horrible cults. Jesus was executed for his outrageous ideas. They should have done it sooner.
There was no such person as Jesus, total made up nonesense to control the masses. And you know that alls I need to do is watch FOX news or watch todays politics to see how easy it is to fool so many people, supposedly advanced people too who are supposedly educated can totally eat all that shit up.
So it's no surprise to me that religion is still going strong. People are gullible and will believe any shite.
your so asent minded, saying there is no Jesus is basically saying Alexander the Great never existed, when there is written documentation on boht of their existences. get it straight, because im sure you believe in Alexander the rgeat right?
No, the insatiable desire for security that misfires when the mind touches on the issue of uncontrollable things such as death and misfortune, that is what causes conflict. People want security so bad, they will do anything to get it, especially when times are tough. Check Nazi germany, economic crisis, Hitler provides the illusion of security in the Nazi ideal, every one follows. Result: war, 3,000,000 jews systematically killed. All ideals are the same; religious, political, cultural...
You are saying worldoffwarcraft99 that since people will do things anyway, such as fuck your mom and your sister, you might as well be the one to do it. Since someone will do it, it might as well be you.
I disagree. People ought to, and many people are, responsible for their own actions, If you try to use your logic that it is ok to steal from a store because someone else will if you dont, dont be surprised if your are arrested and prosecuted some day.
there are all kinds of documents..err i mean stories of santa claus...and hey we EVEN SEE him in the malls...I think Santa out does jesus by a long shot!!! get a grip and get real...jesus is as fictitious and santa..awesome video 5*
The new testament is not history. It's fiction. really it is. the majority of it was Paul, who "saw visions" of jesus but was never a witness to the man. The first gospel was written 60 AD. None of the new testament is eye witness. and everything else you're citing (josephus tacticus seutonius) is about the new testament. They wrote about the fiction that was written. None of the people you mention actually witnessed Jesus.
Jesus actually existed. There is more evidence of Jesus existing than there is of any other ancient figures whose existence is taken for granted by historians. no reason to "make up" reality.
The new testament contains 27 serperate documents that all tell the life of jesus. not one of them contradicts another. The jewish historian Flavius Josephus born AD. 37 Writes of jesus. along with many other ancient historians... Cornelius Tacitus, roman historian seutonius. along with 35,000 valid documents that verify the new testament. With even more witnesses to the miracles he performed and what he did.
loved it... its interesting to see that religion after a while becomes territorial in the sense that its one group of religious ideas vs the other, usually resorting to acts which are the exact opposite to the teachings of it
I'll agree 100% that religions need to leave judgment and punishment to their respective gods...
any religious or cult faction that takes punishment into their own hands in the name of religion is a hypocrite to their god by trying to BECOME their god, zealots scare the hell outta me to a point where I think we'd be better off without them.
Damn. Fantastic video!

First Argument from Ignorance. "I don't know how it happened there for God Must have did it!"
Second Strawman Fallacy. "We evolved from chemicals" Isn't evolution, it is Abiogeneis.
Abiogeneis is the origin of life itself.
Evolution is what happens after life is established.
You then follow up with a whole serious of spit fire questions that leads to your already biased conclusion.

People are gullible and will believe any shite.

your so asent minded, saying there is no Jesus is basically saying Alexander the Great never existed, when there is written documentation on boht of their existences. get it straight, because im sure you believe in Alexander the rgeat right?
worldofwarcraft99 2 years ago
Docmentation you say.... erm, there is no historical documentation of Jesus's existence from the time he was supposed to be alive, none, zip, nish.
So do some research and you will find that religion is corrupt to the bone and anyone who believes in that shit are about as dumb as it gets.

Please think about your delusions.

AHughman08 2 years ago
Jesus actually existed. There is more evidence of Jesus existing than there is of any other ancient figures whose existence is taken for granted by historians. no reason to "make up" reality.
yelll0 2 years ago
Let's hear it. What's some of the evidence?
AHughman08 2 years ago
The new testament contains 27 serperate documents that all tell the life of jesus. not one of them contradicts another. The jewish historian Flavius Josephus born AD. 37 Writes of jesus. along with many other ancient historians... Cornelius Tacitus, roman historian seutonius. along with 35,000 valid documents that verify the new testament. With even more witnesses to the miracles he performed and what he did.
yelll0 2 years ago
The new testament is fiction. Get us some real proof. Not bible blabber.

I believe Jesus was real I just dont believe he was the son of god

That has been stretched from Julius Ceaser, I have to say. He may have existed, that still doesn't prove that the things he did were real.

loved it... its interesting to see that religion after a while becomes territorial in the sense that its one group of religious ideas vs the other, usually resorting to acts which are the exact opposite to the teachings of it
