As I watch this, is there a God? Why was my dad not in a internment camp, 100% German. My grandma was 1st generation, me 3rd. I remember him telling me stories of the harrassment his family took. Him and his brothers (6) knocked the snot out of them usually. Of course this was about race, still is and it's sick.. Most my family uncles served and had the same racist feelings against non white Americans.

The bomb dropping was because those people would NOT give in, and it was in return for what those people had done. children born in the US were citizens by right of birth. and at the time of the relocation were children. These children were taken along with their enemy alien parents to avoid leaving them without a means of support and avoid breaking up families. Unless they smuggled, there is no jap entered in N. America after 1920. Do you think the infants in these pictures are more than 21 year-old? They were born in N. America but the USA and Canada did not give them citizenships because they were limited to the White only.

Even if "a jap" unfortunately born in the USA, he should go to Japanese embassy and get Japanese citizenship. Otherwise, he will be the 3rd class US citizen who has no human-rights. White cops won't shoot the japs if he has a foreign passport, but they will shoot the japs born in the USA and the third class citizens of the US, just like the guy shot and killed in the BART station.

Yeah, Canada did it too. Pretty terrible but people do radical things in times of war, our government didn't want Japanese fishermen on the coast to act as "spies" or "recons". But you have to realize that our countries were in constant fear (Not that it makes it right)

Most japanese came here only to make money. They still considered themselves japanese. They registered their children as japanese citizens at their consulates,they sent them to japan for schooling and to japanese schools here. After the war started they became enemy aliens.The idea that tens of thousands of enemy aliens should be allowed to roam freely on our west coast is ridiclous

from all over the world.and more than any other nation.The japanese had extreme loyalty to their emperor and their home country even registering their children born in the U.S. as citizens of japan. I can see why they were not seen to be good material for the melting pot. Loyalty to the U.S. first is required of new citizens to this day.
