Unless you're hitting the rev limiter in 6th gear the gears are not limiting your top speed. The AI cars in S7 and S10 are faster on the straight than you are. That's just how it is. I suggest using the draft to your advantage. You can change 6th gear or the final gear if you want. I don't think you'll be any faster on the straight.

All my tunes are for Spec III. If you're running Spec II I can't help you. Even if I did a 700pp tune it wouldn't work right since the physics changed in Spec III. Hook your ps3 to the internet and update to Spec III and then you can use my 750pp tunes. S7 and S10 are easier in Spec III anyway. If you can't update for some reason then take my S2 Clio 680pp tune and add a little power. That should get you a starting point.
Nice video S2K2K3. I love your tunes. Nice driving. I am so used to Forza 2 and the joystick of the controller. I can't drive with keypad in Gt5. I am very good with the joystick but my gut feelings tells me that using joystick is not a good idea for Gt5.

Can you tell me little bit about how you tuned this car? this race is kinda hard, i tried with my Ford GT test car but i only get up to like 11th and they other just takes off ;P
With a steering wheel this game is damn fun =) got taht logitec one thats designed for the game.. theres feedback in the steering wheel so that you can realy feel the road ure driving on =) I dont know if its harder to play with one because of the physics in the wheel itself.. But its damn funny ;D And being first after 2 laps is np. Any GT fan should buy it tbh. Makes the game so much more realistic
Those new to the game do not need help if their playing standard physics. And if they are, the best help they could be given would be to tell them to stick it on pro physics, knock the driving aids off, manual gears on, bit of traction control, 2/3 setting and learn the hard way. But the more rewarding way and theyll then thank you in the future. Not by making them get bored of chucking cars in to corners at stupid speed and sticking to the track they won't. Go paly NFS if that's what they want

i was wondering if 2:10xx is your normal time for the first lap. I usually manage under 2:09xx but get nowhere near 1:56 on the second lap, mostly around 1:59
Actually I was just messing around working on my tune when I did that video. My goal was to get the feel of the tune. When I'm going for speed, my first lap is generally 2'08 (2'09 if I don't catch the first few cars just right). I've gotten the tune even better (and probably my driving a little better) and I ran a 1'55.556 lap the other day. I may post that lap also, but it's not as interesting to watch since it was lap 4 and all the other cars were far behind me.
I like how hard you rear ended that guy on that stupid turn near the finish line and it didn't give you a penalty..I nic cars or graze a wall and stops me..grr
If you don't have the latest update to the game you need to get it. In the Spec III update you don't get nearly as many penalties for touching the AI cars.
I've been trying to tweak the setup on my Mine's for days and I still have to use traction and stability controls on it. I can't seem to get the rear end from slipping out when I turn with no throttle.

i've used your settings, but i don't understand one thing.

this is the final thing with the gear setup. this brings down your top speed alot, and I get owned a lot with straight pieces.

The secret is to pick up the throttle as you turn in. A little throttle will keep the rear in line.
