  • FOR. EV. VUR. FOR. EV. VUR.

  • forever,great song!

  • back when the dope was good! lol this kicks ass!

  • This is à blast!

  • Que grandes¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • this song is stunningly good

  • Thats RAW !!

    Nice... Thanx for Uploading !!!

    Peace

  • I always liked this song, I'm just a little surprised that THIS band was the archatects behind it!

  • best band on then planet - bar none!

  • this song , no this album, meant so much to me way back in 1982. I remember listening to this exact recording on tommy vances' friday night rock show , and being totally blown away!!!

  • as a musician sabatonnien you might notice the out of tune! This is not the greatest version of this song, But, it;s still good to see. I wish we had I phones like today! You would really see how it was back in the day! Remember we could only watch MTV when they played music 24/7 and didn't have shows like Jackass or Jersey Shore! It's sad that you have to come to you tube to see the bands that really made a statement in music! Y&T was always underrated for some reason and I don't know why!!!!

  • @metalman1767 --- Well said my friend!

  • @metalman1767

    Couldn't agree more!

  • @metalman1767 ..I can tell you...that the mass conscience of the planet marches to the same beat, color, style, car, designs, smells and foods. Only the gifted humans in the art and music world change lives. There are political manipulators in there way....they divert bands with wisdom and spiritual insite like Y&T. Just imagine a world with all of the music, docs, movies, artists and intelligent people on the tv all day....spreading wisdom instead of heaps of shit, with a side of lies.

  • thats awsome

but am i the only one to notice bad tuning?

  • @sabatonnien: Probably not --- but you are the only one to mention it!

  • Gibson and Marshall owe this guy a signature series

  • Love Y & T, only seen them a half dozen times though... shame the record company never promoted them, they would have been bigger than the Crue.

  • Y and T are the only heavy metal band I know who don't go for the bad fad. They are tuned in to the universe. They surrender to love.

  • Fuc*in YEAH!!

  • 8 Dislikes?go get ducked and dance to beyonce ya mincers

  • Y & T Kicks ass

  • "You're the end of the rainbow to me"... what a fantastic, romantic and powerful love sentence. Waw, Y&T...

  • Him and Sammy Haggar are brothers from another mother

  • boy the dope was good back then lol

  • just a great 'no frills' rock band. the best on the planet!

  • absolutely get high every time I listen to this

  • nice

  • thanks

  • thanks

  • Y&T is one of the most underrated bands in rock/metal. Incredible vocals and great songs!!

  • Y&T = Genius. RIP Phil

  • It's tragic to hear of Phil's passing! I feel fortunate to have seen him and the band at some the greatest venues in the SF bay area. Whooda thunk that a band my mom listened to in the early seventies would become one of my all time favorites! Prayers to the family.

  • R.I.P.Phil - love ya FOREVER!!!!

  • phil kennemore may be dead, but his spirit will live on FOREVER!!!

  • Brilliant band. Rest In Peace Phil Kennemore. Only saw them opnce at Donington Mosterof rock in 1984, but they were awesome. Should ahve been bigger and definitely deserve to be.

  • Descance en paz este gran bajista de metal sin palabras..

  • I was at this gig, (god it seems like only yesterday).... I met Phill a few times several years later but this is how i will always remember him...... I can`t stop crying at the news. Today is such a sad day

  • R.I.P. Phil Kennemore.

  • Best band ever, for sure ;).

  • One of those tunes you'll never get tired about..forever i keep on fallin' for you...rock on

  • Y&T is still rocking with great passion

  • NOTHING BETTER !!!!

  • The music is some of the greatest rock ever made but the spandex is gayer then assless leather chaps. LOL

  • who gives a fuck what they were wearing.....shut the fuck up & listen to the cool tune....none of u imbeciles talking about "pants" will ever do any better......SO STFU

  • Way underrated band along with Triumph, Lynch Mob, Dokken and more....

  • @JeremiahLozada

    agreed with all cept y&t

    triumph was awful IMO, LOL

  • @LizRichieBand i guess it's really opinion, but im glad you agree

  • Meniketti RULES !!!!

  • BRILLIANT!!!!

  • y and t is famous enough...that's part of their greatness, plus they are not a part of the "industry", they just rock fuckers!!!

  • @tubetubby500 THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNCONDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR Y&T! Visit the website to find out how you can possibly help Phil fight his battle with metastic cancer. However little or much is appreciated but also your guys prayers for Phil are always appreciated as I pray for his health. He is my uncle. :-)

  • They were huge in the Bay Area! Dave is a great showman! Cheesy? Ya... probably, but still hella cool.

  • The most underrated heavy rock band in history....these motherfuckers wipe the floor with all these so called "progressive rock" bands trolling the scene nowadays..Dave Meniketti a fucking beast!!!!

  • @NastyNole1 So Frickin true!!

  • @NastyNole1 Thank you for your support! GOD BLESS ROCK...FOREVER!

  • @NastyNole1 f ck modern rock you cant beat the old stuff.rip phil

  • @NastyNole1 couldn't have said it better........thank you! from the USA. always been a fan..........

  • @NastyNole1 .....U got it man...unreal the talent level he has still...just got done listening to the vid from the cd they released last may.....called Facemelter....Songs "coming home"...Theyve still got it...unreal!!!

  • Great memory... excellent show on 4th December 1982 in Paris, opening for AC/DC !

  • I just saw them live last night. This was by far the best song of the night!

  • I laugh when I read these little idiots remarks about a band they only wished they could play as well as! Dave Meniketti kicks ass on guitar and vocals. They are from my area.

  • @airbrush4you You're spot on saw them last year in the UK and they brought the house down ,Getting on a bit but can still rock with the best of them

  • saw them in 83 in Middlesbrough supported by Rock Goddess - now there was a band ! (cant remember their material though - just leered at them, well i was 16!)

  • ...Hoy, esta noche me haces volar

Tu el deseo elevas hasta el fin

    Eres como el poderoso mar

Ya no quiero buscar el arcoiris sin ti...

  • This band does rock n roll cause its about the music not the clothes! geez people dont you listen to the music?

  • @sonee1666 true. That's what I have been arguing but at the same time someone was in charge of their wardrobe which makes this almost circular logic. It would have been funny had they all dressed in Richard Simmon Shorts. hahah

  • 1982.. confusing time for rocker fashion LOL.. Glam, Big Hair and early 70s polyester all mixed in together This is their best song I think.

  • brilliant band i was there too

    glad they`ve reformed

  • All of you Y & T haters don't know HARD ROCK & METAL. They are LEGENDS. They influenced Metallica and many other younger Thrash Metal bands believe me ... I WAS THERE!

  • The most underrated heavy rock band in history. Period.

  • wish i had a video of me rocking out in the eighties,,they're still awesome

  • wow what a horrible opening tone...

  • Eine der besten zu dieser Zeit :-)

  • I was there... fab show

  • sound remind me of nwobhm bands

  • WTF!! WHAT AN AMAZING BAND!! How do I never heard it before?!?!?!?!!??! OMG!! THANK YOU!!

  • forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Excellent! Remind me of Whitesnake another great band.

  • I was at this gig!

It took them forever (groan) to come onstage because they were having trouble with the wireless equipment for their guitars.

They were worth waiting for though, along with Twisted Sister they were the highlight of the weekend for me, the worst point was Manowar cancelling and being replaced by Budgie!

Nothing wrong with Budgie, but I'd seen them loads of times previously, whereas it would have been my first Manowar gig!

  • Dave Meniketti is one of the best guitarists of the era...period.

not to mention singing and fucking songwr

    inting

  • @penfifteen666 Believe it or not, Leonard Haze was the chief lyricist for Y&T. From their first album through In Rock We Trust he wrote most of the songs.

  • @av8rdav I back Leonard.....He joined Dave onstage at the Benefit for Phil on NYE in San Jose. RIP Phil

  • Yeah unfortuneatly if your not from the Bay Area you will forget about them!! Long live Y&T!!

  • These guys shoulda been the biggest band on the planet. long live y&t

  • Truly AWESOME song! If I remember rightly, Halford said that this is the best heavy metal song that he ever heard. It was ten years ago or so...

  • Eddie van halen said so..

  • Classic awesomeness! A real gem to find this footage.

  • larga vida a Baron Rojo!! Ellos tocaron ese mismo año!!!

  • Was not this at Santa Clara Fairgrounds,..I was in the front and swear that I rememeber this totally! Against the Fence!!

  • @agentfredli

Was that the gig where they lost power?

  • pocos grupos de hoy en dia tienen un directo asi

  • Killer drumer, no massive kit ...just sheer ability.

  • Comment removed

  • Bay area Boys no doubt!

  • Serious flashback! This is F'N METAL! Dave M is a bastard on the Les Paul!

  • in my top ten of all time serious headbanging tackle

  • went and seen these guys lastnite. they were full of the flu but they still rocked

  • Wow! I was there in 1982 and these guys were the business.

  • One of the best bands on record and live ;-)

  • Saw them first time Tuesday in Manchester!! Impressed.

    Fuck you Phil.

  • Brill, going to see them in Glasgow this Thursday saw them ooh 2 years ago when they were here last time and still got a drum stick to prove it :)

  • I'm jumpin on the Y&T and UFO most underated bands bandwagon. Absolutely!

  • live the feel!

  • Loud crunchy and good!!!

  • Going to see the boys on Sunday here In Dublin! Only took them 27 years to come back, can't wait.

  • Going to see them on monday evening.

  • Totally agree !!!!!1 life long fan.

The they're still out there though when most others have long gone. Second rising hey?? new album next year. watch out.

  • ill tell ya why they never made it big...look at the outfits where hes wearin the pink (NOT IN THIS ONE I KNOW)....ugh...great music but a f***in eyesore! ...

  • TheMedROH -- HA! It is pretty funny when you look back at it now. But at the time? I guess it's one of those "You had to be there" kind of jokes.

  • Hahahaha, how dare you dislike my comment - I'm the one who uploaded the damn video in the first place! WTF? You think I give a shit what a band wears? I know talent when I hear it! I still think every single "hair metal" or "cock rock" band from the 80's that fell victim to the Spandex and hairspray costume and they were absolutely out of their minds for trying to conform to that horrible fashion atrocity! Lighten up and enjoy the music for what it is! I didn't mean to offend your outfits!

  • @doctorvine is that how you judge your favorite bands, by the clothes they wear?

  • @doctorvine - I hear your diagnosis Dr. but I don't think that was it. Just look at what else was out there at the time. Sure Y&T had those cringe-inducing pants but that was it, no blouses or make-up. Many of the other bands were wearing a ton of make-up, almost to the point they could've passed as girls...

  • @doctorvine It was the 80's, so get over it. White Stripes......really?????? LMAO!

  • @doctorvine ....i dont remember writing that.....

  • @doctorvine what about poison

  • This is an amazing song. DM is such a talented guitarist, and a real soulful voice. Thanks for posting.

  • that song is fucking amazing

  • If anyone here is a big fan of Y&T and in the LA area, my band is opening for them at the Key Club on september 17. Tickets will be expensive but I have them for only $10, If you are a big fan of Y&T as I am, message me for more info. thanks.

You may also be able to meet them if you buy directly from my band.

  • i want y&t ticks who do i call?????

  • i see y@t with rock goodess at the dominon london meny years ago, both bands very good, rip mj...lol.

  • I saw Rock Goddess open for Def Leppard at the Hammersmith Odeon in London at the very start of the Pyromania tour; sadly they were not very good. Somehow lucked into 4th row seats for this show and paid only 5 pounds. At the end of RG's show, they threw a RG T-shirt out into the audience and it landed on my lap. Joe Elliot thought he was cool and jumped down from atop some rigging 10' over the stage and sprained or broke his ankle. Pretty fun show from just before DL broke big in the US

  • I love this song. It's official.

  • Cannot wait to see these guys live in November! All the best rock was before I was born...

  • Still a great song.. !

  • a lil' bit old school but still moving

  • This group was ahead of it's time!! I sure wish they had more of a following!!! One of the best!!

  • couldn't agree more mate - when you look at bands that Def Leopard that were all production , couldn't really sing or do half their material on stage - there's no competition - here you've melodic metal / hard rock that's ten times better .

  • Absolutely! Y&T should have become MUCH more popular than they did. It's really quite a shame that they didn't.

  • even my brother's musician mates who weren't into metal / hard rock said they play that type of music very well .

UFO would probably be the British equivalent of Y&T , just a good manager or something away from success .

  • Both Y&T AND UFO Are two bands that you really have to see live to truly appreciate. Every time I've seen either band they stole the show. Nothing less than spectacular live.

  • I saw UFO here back in 1978 with AC/DC opening up. A truly classic experience- AC/DC with Bon Scott and UFO with Michael Schenker.

  • Even the brother said UFO had good songs but they played them too heavy - a backhanded compliment somewhere ? : - ) )

I went to see Y&T @ Southport but their gear blew and the gig was cancelled - you have to ask what they were doing playing at a NW Seaside Town ? - by the early 80's music had gone very , very corporate , you'd very right wing governments on both sides of the pond so you'd safe AOR stuff like Bon Julie , Europe , Bryan Adams , Rick Springfield etc - even Phil Collins , Tina T

  • You nailed it. Y&T and UFO er the most underrated bands ever. my thoughts exactly

  • @easyscore together with anvil & blackfoot

  • fuckin great!!!!!!!

  • yes,y&t forever.

  • Always loved Y&T! Seeing 'em again in London Soon

  • Waaauuw what a great live performance from my favorite song !!!

    foreeeeveeeeeeeeeeeeeer

  • This song is great!!!

va para Sandra, ella sabe que rockea-thrashea mi mundo

    Te quiero mucho mucho!

  • Growing up in Fremont, Ca in the early 80's. I didnt know anyone who liked rock that didnt love Y&T. I never saw a bad show either. Just an awesome bad.

  • Amen!! I saw them on their Mean Streak tour at the Crest Theater in Sacramento with a little known group called City Kidd - who later went on to become Tesla! Absolutely rocked!!

  • @ 2: 50 one of the sickest guitar lines of all time

  • Y&T is the shit ... I miss the days (late nights) that they would play the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. Yes, Dave Meniketi (sp?) has one of the most awesome voices in all of rock history...

  • You remember the Catalyst in Santa Cruz? What about the New Years' Eve shows at the Cow Palace?

  • @rivermikerat

I saw Y & T new years 86 I think...with Poison opening in Stockton...also saw them NYE 85 with Laaz Rockit and Armored Saint in San Jo

  • You're not that special, asshole. Get fucked.

  • is this the reading rock festival

  • These guys used to play at my high school in 1976-1977. Then known as yesterday & today. They were really good even back then.

  • DUDE AWESOME!(:

  • I knew them from the early 80's. I'm from Napa, CA and they use to play around the bay area quite a bit. There were months that I would see them two or three times. I don't know what IT was...but they definitely have IT. Great rock band.

  • I saw them at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz probably around 1990, a rockin' great show.

  • I went to Sunset and watched Yesterday and Today at lunch time. 76-77.

    Good old Hayward,Ca. Right on.
