  • nice, catch and release thumbs up for that

  • Looks like the "little shits" we run into sometimes. Check out my vids and comment!!! CHOMP!

  • Dude, we had some big hair back then...

  • anybody ever been ice fishing in april???

  • @279mach No, the latest for me ice fishing here in Ohio was second week of March. There still ice (but UNSAFE) here on some lakes. I went fishing last Saturday for the last time. Still was 8 inches but at it;s height there was about 18 inches. BUT.... once when I was about 12 years old I remember ice skating during Spring Break, Which is usually the first week of April.

  • i was in the birckshire mountains april 9

  • "ive got my lucker gander moutain hat on so nothing can go wrong" your punchline

  • have that same exact hat and its my lucky hat to :0

  • @ilovepotco That hat is has mystical powers! "It's all in the hat." I tell my friends.

  • nice

  • lmao! "ya finally got one over 3 inches"!!! i didn't catch a lot of big bluegills this winter......a few 8 inch gills but most weren't bigger than that 1st gill in this video! great video

  • looks fun but u r crazy on melted ice!!!

  • do u have any tips on geting through ice 4-5 inches deep with out an auger

  • @drmmr45: Well, as you can see in another video, an ax (splitting maul works best imho) to chop a hole. I recommend a rectangular hole...4 chops long by 2 chops wide. :) Make sure you cut down on ALL sides evenly and stop when you are just shy of breaking through. Make sure it's very thing on all edges before you chop the rest of the way through; saves you from getting wet from in the process. Don't chop if there's less than 3 inches or so can be dangerous. Lot of work, but it'll do in a pinch.

  • @rNdDynamikkDuo well we found another way....my dads chain saw lol it works better than an auger, i think an ax is worse is because it will spook the fish but boulth prob work

  • Hey u said this was march where do u guys live cuz by where i live the lakes and wat not arent frozen anymore

  • @pelletgun12: This was in northern PA. Ice stayed on extra long that year.

  • @rNdDynamikkDuo Thanks i live in N.J. and i am really looking foreward to pan fishin it was great last year thanks

  • nice crappie. perch gross me out

  • @anthrax1218: Thanks...perch are some good eating though...esp hardwater perch.

  • Stupid moron with a yankee's shirt spells failure!

  • @Achrestensen: I'll take that as a compliment! :P I did just fine, by the way.

  • wow i aint never seen somone get so happy about a perch. here in maine most people consider them a nusence. if i spellede that right if not u know what i meen

  • @galexion: Well, we are pretty much rookies, love catching anything through the ice, and don't have such a negative view of perch in the first place. Go away; don't rain on my parade! jk. Thanks for the comment.

  • what would work better for ice fishing, worms or wax worms? for sunfish? perch?

  • @FishboiFishboi: Well, I like meal worms best for sunfish, meal or wax worms best for perch. Regular worms work as well, but not as consistently in my experience...and their not as tough, which can be a problem when there's a lot of small ones nibbling it.

  • was this done with windows moviemaker?

  • @AP1671: yes, I liked it, but not saying there aren't better ones out there. This project took maybe an hour and a half. Once you know what you're doing I'm sure it would take much less.

  • we got alot more "slush" here in sweden some years. Last year when i were fishing it was like. 50 cm slush =p

  • @matajuz: Good stuff! Little creepy though. Good luck.

  • nice perch u got there!

  • nice crapies : )

  • his got his lucky hat nothing can go wrong. bang his gone through the floor

  • good eating

  • i woulda ate those perch !

  • nice fish

  • you guys really have to find some better places to fish catch something you can actually eat!

  • where was this?

    cool vid

  • @maskedmillionaire: Northeast PA.

  • "I've got my lucky gander mountain hat on" --Real good words to die by.

  • @kevinp83: LOL...stuff happens.

  • yankees suck go red sox other than that good vid

  • @dumbshit95 Thanks. I'm sure neither of us will change the other's opinion about "our" teams, so I won't waste the time. Glad you enjoyed the vid.

  • @rNdDynamikkDuo Rangers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • first ice and last ice is always the best fishing. good to see people out there enjoying the sport!!!!!

  • three inches is enough to fish not so safe at two but six we drive snowmobiles on the ice with six. rookies yes but you caught fish so well done. where u boys located don't they ice fish much?

  • @kendragreat Thanks. We were both in Northeast PA back then. We've both moved on to other regions now; school, etc. Growing up stinks! Haven't fished with this guy in a couple years now.

Please let me know when it comes out.

  • @Icehut The question is: Is YouTube fame worth that sacrifice? Maybe. Haha.

  • My birthday :)

  • was that a fishing pole or a stick? ha nice vid

  • I Think I Would Like Ice Fishing...I Usually Fly Fish :-D

  • What bait are you using? I ask as read some use waxworms but I thought the waxworms would fall off the hook to easily

  • Waxworms and mealworms. The waxies do have arather soft body, but they stay on ok of u are carefull. Fishing 'em on light jigheads.

  • Thanks a lot I intend order some online as none are sold in area

  • Pretty cool video, looks like you guys had fun! Gotta love the outdoors. I'm gonna try to get a turkey hunt on video this spring! I may even try to get it w/ my bow.. Anyways nice video.

  • Hope u have a great hunt/filming! Glad u liked the vid.

  • we dont have any of those other species

  • nice little perch looks thw same as uk perch

i would like to try ice fishing

  • Thanx! U don't need a lot of equiptment; short rod, some small jigs and an auger will get u started.

  • awesome colors on that big perch.got to get me one of those lucky gander mountain hats for last ice.

  • Yup, makes all the difference! lol.

  • Jesus man shoulda kept that perch they're damn good eating.

  • Tell u y I don't keep 'em: Mom won't cook 'em and I can't stomach my own cooking. :)

  • LOL Man just fry em up in butter.

  • fillet 'em, roll em in corn meal, salt and pepper them and toss them in a buttered up frying pan. no better eating. except maybe elk chops

  • You know all are sponsers will be upset since we didn't mention them in the end credits. I mean thats why they give us a six figure income. Best video yet!!

  • Ooops. My bad. But since all six of those figures are zeros I guess we'll b ok, 'eh? I'll email u some pix 2night if I think of it.
