They lie about the dam levels, think about it, if they said they were 80-100 % full BEFORE this latest rain, people would go nuts using the water. Why do you think they were realeasing water from the Somerset / Wivenhoe dams before this rain, because they were already full. Governments don't always reveal the entire truth.

Hey smart guy they haven't opened the flood gates of wivenhoe since 2000-2001 so where are you getting your information? Yes they opened the ball valves at somerset but that flows straight into wivenhoe which was well below half before the rain. In fact Wivenhoe can go 100% over full for storm water control. I suggest you go and take a look for yourself and see that the water level at both somerset and wivenhoe is well below the flood gate level. Knob!

keep in mind that the damns are huge. we did hit 61% at about 5 or 6pm though. it will take a lot more than this weeks rain to fill it.
